Spicy Eggplant

I always struggle with eggplant; I love it when I eat out but when I make it at home it's terrible! This recipe changed that! The ONLY thing I changed was instead of oyster sauce I used fish sauce, and I doubled the sauce (as I roasted chicken thighs on the side and basted them in some of the sauce). Great recipe, will defintely make again. Thanks!

Chef John's Caramel Chicken

I made this last night....man oh man was it tasty. Just finished the lunch leftovers! This sauce is amazing! I followed it except I didn't have cilantro. I'll def make again. I have about 4 sauces from this site and I swear by them all, never use bottled sauce again! Thanks Chef John, you never disappoint.

Spinach and Orzo Salad

I made this last night. Wow, was it ever tasty! I did as a reviewer suggested and threw in some halved cherry tomatos and used fresh basil...what a lovely fresh tasty salad!!!! This would be an excellent summer pot luck salad to bring, it feeds a crowd. Don't be like me and be tempted to omit the pine nuts though (they are sooo expensive), I did end up putting them in and they add a very nice (occasional)crunch to the salad.

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Oh wow, this was delicious!!!! My only complaint? I didn't double the sauce like other reviewer's recommended!!! I followed the recipe with only 2 exceptions: I didn't have the 5-spice mix so I used cayanne and I didn't put orange peel in (didn't have an orange). My boyfriend LOVED the chicken(and he's picky) as did myself and my daughter (she had it on vegetarian chicken nuggets). This was a big hit in my house and I will def make it again! Great recipe, thanks for sharing!!!

Vanilla Chai Buttercream Frosting

OMG! I just made this....it's sooo good! I've already eaten about 1/2 cup straight out of the bowl! Just a few minor changes because I didn't have cardamom. I used a Chai tea bag instead of Black (to pick up the cardamom flavor) and cut the other 3 spices (cinnamon, cloves and ginger) in half. This is one of the best frostings I've ever had. I put it on chocolate cupcakes as it was the only mix in the house. Very excited to actually try some frosting ON the cupcake and not just on a spoon!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

I've made this recipe twice and oh my god is it good!!! 3 small slight changes: 1) I didn't make my own pie crust (still intimidates me) but used Tenderflake crusts (one for bottom one for top) 2)I also sprinkled cinnamon on the sliced apples prior to putting crust/sauce on 3) only used 5 apples because the pie was overflowing (I didn't realize they would cook down; used 7 apples the 2nd time) This pie was gone in about 2 days, and that was with only 3 of us in the house...it was sooo yummy!!! I liked my first try best, with less apple, it made for a saucy pie, as I cut slices for serving I took a spoon and scooped up any sauce that oozed out, then poored it back on the slice. Again, this pie was heaven!!!!

Mediterranean Kale

I loved this!! I try to eat kale regularily because it's so good for you but it's not my favourite veggie. This sauce made it taste so yummy! Normally I saute the kale but the steaming made it tender. My 19 year old daughter loved it too!!!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

This is one of the best ways to make chicken! The sauce is amazing!!! The first time I made this I used regular vinegar, then the 2nd time I used the cider vinegar, bothe times were delicious so if you dont' have any cider vinegar it's ok. Other than that I didn't change a thing!
