Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2014
So good. Time consuming but totally worth it! I recommend double dipping the breaking and then deep frying. Will make this again and again. We love this kind of chicken and now I feel like I can eat it without feeling like its mystery meat :)

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
I've been making these for years! Every time I take them somewhere I get so many complements. They never last long. The hardest (actually the most time consuming part) is removing the wrappers from the peanut butter cups. They are a yummy and fun cookie.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
This is a favorite in our house. However I've made a change. Instead of adding chips to the bottom I put them in a bowl on the table and we eat this like a seven layer dish. I add the tomatoes after it come out of the over (if I have some on hand) Its great, plus we add extra sour cream and hot sauce.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
These were okay. I've made better. I didn't care for the way these spread on me, but the taste was fine.

Spiced Applesauce Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
This was a nice moist bread but it said spiced and I felt it was lacking the spice. I even added a little extra spice.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
This was very good and easy to make. I actually used the stock I made from boiling the chicken, veggies and seasonings. There was no point in using broth from a can when I made mine own. I was able to make this in the morning then bake in the evening.

Amish Friendship Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
superb bread. However, since it takes so long to prepare the starter I just don't think I'd take the time to go through all of that again. I have made plenty of other breads, many from this site that are just as good and don't take 10 days to prepare.

Really yummy. Nice change to traditional eggs or pancake. The only thing is do different is cut the butter in half. Other then that it was great!

Lemon Square Bars

Very good. However, I add at least the juice of two lemons, more when I want them a little on the tart side.

Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
This was so easy and delicious! I had a really large can of peaches so I played around with the recipe a bit. I doubled the amount of peaches and used a brown sugar crumb topping for the top making enough to completely cover the top with very little dough showing. It was very good!! I also made one following the recipe exactly. We served them both ways then had a vote. The brown sugar topped cobbler won. But I must say it was really delicious either way.

Caramel Brownies II

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
Way to sloppy. Nothing like a brownie. Its really more like a cake with a runny filling. If I ever attempt this again I will try actual brownies, not a cake mix. Its also really rich, which its good, but I was really hoping for a gooey carmel brownie.

Easy. Very good. I made them in my mini muffin tin with the mini muffin papers. They were a huge hit and were gone fast. I would make again.

Powdered Sugar

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
I ran out of powder sugar, so I thought this is a good time to try this out. Well I am 30 min into this and I am not even close. I don't know of I should give up or continue just to see what happens. My machine and the sugar are both hot so for now its just going to sit.

Peanut Butter Cups

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
This was good idea. They were really easy to make. I used 1/2 cup semisweet and 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips. And 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/4 cup powder sugar. I didn't use any oil or butter and they were great. I also used plastic bags to pipe the chocolate and peanut butter into the cups. I filled the mini papers full, so they were nice and big candies. Next time I won't worry about getting the chocolate up the sides with a spoon because piping the peanut butter with a bag creates a nice way to make the peanut butter blob in the very center and leaves room for the chocolate to fill in around all the sides.

Slow-Cooked Flank Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
This was a great dinner. I did not use chilis and cut the sugar 1/4 cup and used a yellow onion and a red onion. I also added some Pappy's seasoning and used Apple Cider vinegar. It was so tender that it just shredded and didn't need to be sliced. I put it in the crock pot and set it for 4 hours but it was ready at about 3 1/2 hours. It was a great meal. I always have a flank steak in my freezer and never know what to do with them. Now I have a great alternative to steak tacos.
