Brilliant Potatoes With Paprika and Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: May 18, 2014
This was delicious. As a personal preference I'll reduce the amount of butter and oil in it the next time I make it. I think it'd be just as delicious (and a bit healthier) with a reduced amount.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: May 18, 2014
Only thing I'd change is to cook the onion beforehand to soften it. I don't care too much for crunchy onion in cooked dishes, but that is a personal preference. Otherwise, this recipe is perfect and awesome. It is very spicy, but we like spicy things.

Lentil Soup

This is pretty tasty. I made it to direction and next time would like to try it with mild or Italian sausage added.

Creamed Eggs on Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2014
This was alright, a nice change from our typical scrambled eggs, bacon and toast breakfasts. I would probably make this again occasionally, but I don't consider it a favorite.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
This was alright. The chicken came out a little tough but I had to turn the pot down to "warm" for a few hours because I had to leave the house unexpectedly. I would try this again just to see if the chicken comes out more tender following the directions exactly. The soup itself is very flavorful and spicy and I like that. If the chicken comes out more tender next time I'll update my rating.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2014
This is a pretty good recipe as is. It has a nice light, healthy feeling to it when you eat it and is tasty. I just need to remember to add a bit more salt next time if I use a low-sodium vegetable broth.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
These were the best thick pork chops we've ever made. My husband will only ever eat thin cut pork chops because he says the thick ones always come out too tough, but these were fall apart tender. He loved them and said we definitely need to keep this recipe. We didn't vary from the recipe -- no need to, these are awesome.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
My husband liked this and asked me to make it for him again, but I didn't care too much for it. I think it's the cream cheese. Maybe I can change it up somehow more to my liking, but as is I'll only make this again if my husband requests it.

Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
I followed this recipe to the letter and made sure the eggs were room temperature before adding them to the boiling water. No eggs exploded. Eggs peeled beautifully both immediately after cooling in ice water and after sitting in the fridge overnight. I am very pleased with this recipe!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
Absolutely the best chicken pot pie recipe ever. I can't tell you how many compliments I've received on this meal and how many times I've handed out this recipe. The only variance I make is to add a little potato in, but this would be just as tasty without, too. YUM, YUM and YUM!!

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2014
This'll probably be my "go to" recipe for egg salad now. I thought it was pretty tasty. I did add celery due to preference. And based on another comment I read I mixed things together while the egg yolks were still warm. I do think it gave the salad a creamier texture.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2014
Great tasting recipe and easy to make. I did cook the cream down until the thickness met our preference. Other than that I stayed true to the recipe. Will definitely add this one to my list of repeats.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2014
This soup is alright, I mostly like that it's quick and easy to make and yet still has a fair amount of flavor. Maybe with the right noodles I would like it just a bit better though.
