Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2013
Turned out good. Kids didn't want to try it, but once they tried it they all 3 liked it. Skipped the nuts and the glaze. 1/1/13

Amazing Southwest Cilantro Lime Mango Grilled Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
Lost of work, but great use of a bunch of stuff I had on hand. for my personal preference - less mayo would have been better. Also, I didn't get the sandwiches grilled - may have helped. Will try as a wrap next time.

easy and the kids ate it. Can't ask for more in a recipe! Did do chicken broth instead of water.

Best Ever Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
yummy - added 1/4 t soda for my high elevation. otherwise followed recipe exactly. The top got brown at 25 minutes, so i took it out of the oven but it wasn't cooked through. Should have left it in the last 10 min & covered the top.

Tried this simply because I had some root beer in the fridge. My boys gobbled up their steaks.

Root Beer Float Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
This turned out great for me. Was looking for a way to use up some old root beer and this caught my eye because it was so easy. My family couldn't guess it was root beer, so if you are looking for a real strong root beer favor look elsewhere. But, everyone did like it.

Strawberry Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
I enjoyed this. Did cut the sugar down to 1 tsp. Also, I used this amount of dressing over 4+ cups of salad greens.

Yellow Squash Patties

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
Not to popular at my house. I ate most of them. Kids and hubby didn't like too much. Maybe if I had skipped the onions altogether instead of cutting back.

Jacky's Fruit and Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
There were okay. The peaches I used were already sweetened so I used a little less sugar than called for and they seem to be lacking something... Also, my muffin cups were really full and tops kind of spread out - should have gone for 15 instead of 12.

Yummy and easy did use less butter and extra garlic. Also, pounded chicken a little to get more uniform thickness and cooked about 30 min.

Three Animal Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
Just okay. I thought they needed some salt - but didn't realize till they were cooked. Maybe subbing cheese for oats or crumbs as someone else suggested would help.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
I'm sure these are healthier than potato chips. But we don't eat too many potato chips. We thought they were just okay. If I make again will try soy sauce. The salt was a little too much IMHO.

Mexican Pizza I

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
Just what I was looking for in a recipe. Only problem was I was in a hurry and didn't want to fry the tortillas. So, I followed the advice on the bag to warm them in the microwave. Made them nice and soft, but my boys didn't appreciate that. Crispy would have been better. Will fry next time.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
I really liked this and it was just what I was looking for to use up some sausage and spinach languishing in my fridge. The sausage was just plain pork sausage so I added extra italian seasonings. 4 stars because it wasn't too popular with my boys. But will make again just for me.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
These are delicious but super rich. I have a tremendous sweet tooth and they were a bit much for me. I will definitely make them again, but may try it w/o frosting or at least cut the amount for frosting in 1/2. - "batter" is really dry, but turned out fine

Made this because I had some cherries and sour cream to use up. Made it as bars and had some BIG time cracks, but turned out to be pretty tasty for my first ever cheesecake.

This was good but salty. And, I like salty. Didn't add the 1/2 tsp salt and will cut back bouillon next time.
