Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2004
Great restaraunt quality soup! I made this for a soup cook off at work, and out of 8 soups it placed third. It probably would have placed higher, but everyone was buying bowls of it and it was gone in only 10 minutes!

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2005
This french toast is absolutely amazing. Every time I make it I get rave reviews. When I make it without crusts, it is more like bread pudding and I serve it as a dessert with fruit on top. With the crusts, it's more like french toast. Last time I made it as french toast, my friends put cream cheese and berries on top and it was even richer and more delicious, if that's possible.

Sesame Shrimp Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2005
Great meal. Everyone has loved it. It takes just one pan if you make it with stir fry noodles. Just mix them in after adding the broth. If I premeasure everything and cut vegetables beforehand, this great recipe is simple enough to take camping from the car or river.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2005
Amazing scones! I only had half the sour cream and didn't have cream of tartar. This recipe is so forgiving. The scones wer great anyway! Must try.

Bread Pot Fondue

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2005
This was just OK. I like quality, restaraunt style cheesy fondue. This had too much cream cheese and sour cream, not enough cheese. It was OK, but not a high quality dish. I wasn't impressed.

African Sweet Potato and Peanut Soup

Reviewed: May 22, 2005
I didn't even have all the ingredients and this soup is still great! I left out the peanuts, ginger and coriander. It was still very yummy, like something you'd get at an ethnic gourmet restaraunt!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2005
These are wonderful, and possibly the best thing I've EVER baked. I'll be making these over and over again, but next time I'll double the icing.

Spicy Black Bean Cakes

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2005
Really tasty, healthy recipe. I did not pre-cook the sweet potatoes and they turned out fine. I made about 20 small patties and I think they turned out crispier and cooked better this way. They were enjoyed by vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike at a dinner party along with fish tacos. They're also good with melted, crispy cheese on top. I thought they made good leftovers, just warm in a pan the next day. You must make the cream for topping, it really adds to the taste! Will definitely make these again.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2005
The sauce is awesome, although I've never made the fish using this recipe. I just marinade the fish and grill it.

Raspberry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
Really good. The outside gets a little carmelized, probably from all the sugar in it. I used day old portugese sweet bread from this website.

Gooey, delicious and really easy! I reduced the milk as others suggested and added one clove crushed garlic.

Wonderful, healthy, natural bread! I used half unbleached bread flour and half whole wheat flour. I also added sunflower seeds.

Peanut Butter Cookies IV

Reviewed: May 1, 2006
Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Very delicious without an overpowering peanut flavor. They did turn out a little flat, but I didn't mind after I tasted them! I baked them 10 minutes.

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2006
I was in a big hurry and made this dough carelessly - the honey wasn't mixed in well and I rolled it out very messy. It still turned out well with a good flavor. I will make it again when I have time to make it right, but I was still impressed with the flavorful result of this recipe!

Cool Cucumber Salsa

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2006
WONDERFUL! I only used one cucumber and extra tomatoes. The recipe as written is very mild. Add more jalepenos to make it spicier. This is the best salsa recipe I have tried!

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2006
A doughy gourmet crust it is NOT, but it is yummy, easy and quick. It is also very cheap to make. Adding fresh garlic and herbs to the crust made it taste very, very good. Will be making over and over again. Great recipe.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2006
I've been cooking salmon for years and this is the best recipe I've found! Magnificent! Be sure to brush on the sauce very liberally...and next time I might consider doubling the sauce recipe because it made a DELICIOUS salad dressing to go with the fish.

Gaye's Microwave Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
Very good. It set up fine for me. It's a soft fudge, and it's not the very best fudge I've ever had, but good and very easy to make! I added pecans.
