Really Wicked Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2013
Spinach and artichoke dip how it should be, no mayonnaise! Mayo is a cheap replacement for cheese, gross! I've made this recipe as a dip 4 times and as a pasta dish 2x (cook a box of pasta like penne, bowtie or medium shells al dente and mix the artichoke juice into the sauce mix then stir in cooked pasta and bake). For Thanksgiving I bought a nice casserole dish (w/ lid and metal holder) and made this dip and presented it to the host. Everyone loved the idea! I use sour cream as I don't buy GY (I'm learning to make my own), cut down on the pepper, and use 1TBS of Sriracha instead of the red pepper flakes. The small amount of sriracha gives the dish a nice flavor but does not make it spicy, my 2 year old eats it up.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2013
I've made this recipe a dozen times, it's a family favorite. I have never made the frosting, it's fine as is. Also, I double the recipe, and use canola oil instead of butter.

Chicken and Asparagus in Cream Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
I made the recipe as written except that I made my own asparagus base instead of using the can soup and I added monterey jack cheese on top of the bread crumbs. I don't know what this needs but it definitely needs some seasoning of some kind. I'm glad I made this early before my husband comes home so that I can work with the flavor. It was OK, the asparagus soup I made out of the leftover base was much better. Reminds me of the rich mans tuna casserole using chicken and asparagus instead of tuna and peas.

Cream Soup Base

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
Great base thank you. I didn't have bouillon or stock but I sauteed onion and garlic and steamed up some carrots and asparagus, then I pureed the onion/garlic and carrots/asparagus and added it to the roux. I use skim milk in the recipe and I added sea salt and more skim milk at the end so that it wasn't so thick. I am going to make Chicken and Asparagus in Cream Soup(from this site) using your base. Thanks Nell Marsh

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2013
Made this recipe with no alterations. It looked like fudge, but this did not taste like nor have the consistency of fudge. I cut them into really small squares, after the family had one square it wasn't touched again.
