Carrot Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
Pretty good. Mine tasted a little flat at first and I added more garlic (can't really taste it and i added 5 gloves) and about a little less than 1/4 of butter (80/20 kind), but then I added some lemon juice (to taste) and I found it really picked up the flavor a lot, just needed that bit of zip is all. Next time I'm going to add Greek yogurt to see if that will make a difference.

Norwegian Lefse

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
Oh man, I am so glad I found this. Our family recipe doesn't call for sugar so I don't add it and it tastes fine. You can mash the potatoes if you don't have a ricer but it's MUCH easier with a ricer. Great recipe and freezes really well. You can also use half and half if you don't want to use heavy cream

Mushroom Soup Without Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2013
This is a really good soup for beginners like me who are new to cooking. I used 3 beef bouillon cubes instead of chicken and added about a little less than a 1/2 a palm of celery salt(sub for the reg salt as I had no celery), and 3 cloves of garlic. This recipe is very versatile.

Delicious Apple Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
Good recipe. I will def peel the apples next time, and putting it through the food processor was a great idea too. I added half of the sugar but next time I may put only like 1/2 tbs in as at 1 and a half tbsp it was pretty sweet. I only added a dash of cinnamon to mine

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2014
This was my second time making beef stew, and this one is pretty darn good. Be careful with the beef cubes as it was pretty salty when i made it to the recipe. I would add different veggies as well, turnip, parsnip, etc. Still a great recipe for beginners.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2015
Super good. First time trying Kale and this is a really good basic recipe. I used lemon pepper salt instead of regular salt. Super easy to burn though, next time I'll probably reduce the heat to 300F and do them in batches. Deff want an atomizer for your oil, it's easy to use to much.
