This was good, but not exactly unbelievable.

Multi Grain Pilaf

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2014
This was a good combo pilaf. I prepared it as published. I thought it could use some more flavor and my wife thought it was fine. I have frozen the left overs for future use.

Tomato Bisque III

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2014
Great recipe! I did not find the fire roasted tomatoes and I'm not sure my wife would like them anyway, but a 28 oz can of petite diced (undrained) worked great. I used half the sugar and also added some sweet basil (~12 small leaves) for our tastes. I tasted it before and after the cream addition and actually like it better without the cream. Panera may have lost a soup customer!

Apple Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2014
We liked this. The pork was tender and tasty and the apples were just starting to soften at 30 minutes in the oven. I prepared it as described and I would agree with other reviewers that less jelly would make sense. I also wondered if it would work well with center cut pork chops in a saute pan on a lower heat to reduce the liquid to a thicker sauce.

Chicken with Quinoa and Veggies

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2014
Made this last night, pretty much as written. The combination of flavors was a winner. When I prepare it the next time, I will consider keeping the tomatoes out until I put the chicken back in so they don't cook down as much. I agree that this is a great base to experiment from with different veggies and other meat combinations. The quinoa can easily be switched out for rice or noodles.

Pawpaw's GF Pepperoni Pizza Nachos

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2014
Very easy to do and beats GF crusts in my book. The chips provide a satisfying crunch to the pizza flavors.

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2014
Add us to the "gone in 5 minutes" crowd. We are doing gluten free around here and this really worked to handle a pizza crave using GF chips rather than bread. Once you build out the "pizza" you can top as you wish.

Lemon Syllabub

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2014
This was simple and tasty. I had left over heavy whipping cream and this was refreshing way to. I was surprised how much the white wine (Chardonnay) added to the flavor. I wound up adding a bit more lemon to balance it out.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2014
It was OK, but I will leave french onion soup to real chefs for now. This is a fair amount of work and I did not think the results I got were worth the effort.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2014
This was better than to kabobs we were purchasing at the butcher. I used some of the marinade on some squash for the grill and it was also great.

Quick and Easy Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2014
A great way to finish baked potatoes when grilling. We have done the microwave and oven combination to speed up the process for many years, but finishing it in the grill when you already have it running was awesome. I did coat the entire potatoes halves with olive oil and sprinkled with kosher salt and pepper. Really did not need any butter or sour creme added!

Best Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2014
Keeper! Used this last night and it was great. I substituted white wine for the water and as I watch sodium content I used Mrs Dash Lemon Pepper as suggested by others. Paired with http://allrecipes.com/recipe/quick-and-easy-grilled-potatoes/detail.aspx this was awesome. Like salad dressings, I plan to never buy a marinade again and this will be in my arsenal. Should be good for chicken also.

Asian Ginger Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2014
Keeper! Followed other reviewers on the soy and sesame oil and added some toasted sesame seeds. Will follow advice on freezing ginger next time. Update - using lower sodium soy, I have done this as written with one enhancement, I placed the ingredients in a blender. This allows you to "blend" the garlic and ginger into the dressing reducing the effort to mince them. Still chop them, but the blender makes for a smoother dressing. The hint to freeze the ginger also works well, but the blender helps more.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2014
A home run on the 1st try! Chicken Marsala is one of my wife's favorite dinner out dishes. No more! This was new king on the first try. I did only do two breasts and added garlic and green onion per other suggestions and made full sauce/mushroom load. Served with pasta for me and rice for her...
