Bolognese Sauce

Nice recipe! I made it per the recipe and it came out pretty well. I did substitute red wine for white because I only had red, and added some extra onions and celery because I had no carrots. If I make it again, I will add a wee bit of sugar, a pinch of cayenne, and an extra clove of garlic, but otherwise this is a keeper!

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

This is exactly like my mom's pound cake - a cake that she's been making since I was small, twenty-some years ago. This recipe works best if you leave the butter and cream cheese out overnight to soften. You can also substitute margarine for one stick of the butter, or add 1/4 tsp almond extract for a different flavor. Great recipe.

Snow Days Potato Soup

Not a bad recipe, even if I do usually prefer my potato soup much thicker. I used a little more potato than it called for and a little less milk. I also added a few drops of hot pepper sauce. Definitely good for cold days! This plus a grilled cheese sandwich is a great meal.

Sausage Gravy

Great recipe - the only way to make sausage gravy. If you like spicy, add a can of well-drained RoTel tomatoes after it's had time to simmer for a bit. Yum!

Kalamata Olive, Tomato, and Cheese Melt

I was a little wary of this recipe, as it seemed like a strange, fancy casserole. I'm glad my love of kalamata olives and feta cheese won out. This was fabulous - definitely a keeper. And I agree with the earlier poster who reccomended extra cheese - can you ever have enough cheese, anyway?
