Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2012
This is a wonderful easy recipie! I followed it exactly, my roast was boneless shoulder. It made so much, I was worried it wouldn't be finished, it was gone in a day! We have a big pool party every August, and this will be this years star attraction, thanks so much for sharing!

Down Home Baked Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
This is a very good, easy bean dish. I made it exactly as is, only reduced the brown suger just for our tastes. It was very well received, and the teenagers just loved it! Thanks for a new favourite

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
I made this for a work lunch, and it was a big hit. I also used strawberry cream cheese, but I didn't change anything else. (I always try a recipe as is first) I would not change anything, it's pretty much perfect as is. It's a little amazing that something so simple is so good. My co-workers were even dipping their spoons in to eat it without the fruit! Thanks for a great recipe!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
These are fantastic. Don't change a thing, just try them this way. I only added a handfull of cheese on top, and let it melt after they were done. I doubled the recipe, and it turned out great, everyone loved it. I have never had success like this with scallop potatoes. Thanks so much for a family favorite!

Honey Mustard Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
Really good, super easy to make with things you already have. I used spicy brown mustard, and went a little less on the vinager. I always use fat free mayo, and extra virgin oilive oil, and it is great. Can't wait to have it tonight!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
Ok, hello, where has this dip been all my life? :) It is amazing! I made it last week for a superbowl appy and it was a total hit. I used all mayo, but would try the half sour cream. I also used the jarred, pickled jalapenos, and we could not believe how much this is like the real poppers. I think my husband ate most of it! We dipped with toasted pitas, and also sliced green and red peppers, which was simply perfect. I don't think you can go wrong with this, I'm making a double batch for company tomorrow. I think you could either omit of use the parm cheese, and it would still be great. TRY THIS DIP! you will love it! Thanks so much for this one!!!

Curried Hummus

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2009
Really good recipe. I didn't change too much, just added a little sesame oil, not too much, about 1/2 tsp. I can hardly stay out of it, and it's for tomorrow! (Superbowl Sunday).

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
This recipe always turns out perfect! If you have never made rice pudding, or have made it many times, it's one to try. At Christmas it's fun to use dried cranberries instead of raisins, and I've done it with no fruit at all. Over all a great recipe, easy to make while dinner is cooking for a fast, delicious dessert!

Easy Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
This is a great, easy recipe. I used 2 cans of cream of mushroom (what I had on hand) about 1/4 cup white balsalmic vinagar in place of white wine,a tablespoon of mild curry powder, and threw in a small bag of mixed frozen veg over the chicken. I also seasoned the chicken with salt and pep . It was wonderful! The whole family loved it, and the chicken was very moist and tasty. Try this one, I thought it might be a bit plain, but the sauce is wonderful, quite elegant. I am having a dinner for my Mom's birthday, and will be serving this to the whole family!

Wonderful Banana Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
This is a very good cake recipe. The banana flavour is even better the next day. I did use 3 bananas, and did preheat my oven. I used a large round cake pan, and it took approx 50 mins. to cook. I didn't have any frosting, but it really doesn't need it. The kids loved it, and it is great with a cup of tea! Thanks for a great cake!

Easy Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
This cake is superb! I made it for my son's 16th birthday party, and it was a huge hit! Everyone at the party loved it. I even had Mom's phoning for the recipe! I used 24 chocolate ice cream bars, and the same amount of everything else. Try this one, you won't be dissapointed!

Kafta (BBQ)

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
This is a great, fun meal. The kids devoured it! I did add a little crushed garlic, as others suggested, and I doubled the recipe. We dipped ours in Greek Tzadziki(don't know if I spelled that right!)sauce, and it was great! The boys made me promise that we would have this all the time! Hubby loved it too, a nice change from burgers, and you can cut the carbs as well, as you don't need the buns. I did take the time to put it on skewers, and I would recommend it. Thanks so much for such a great recipe! Lynn Peterson

Hot Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: May 1, 2007
Excellent recipe. Better than bottled sauce. I did what the others suggested, and used red curry paste. I put this over roasted back rib pieces after they are cooked, and they are a massive hit every time! Just sprinkle on some roasted sesame seeds for that added look!

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
This is AMAZING! Simply the best Butter Chicken ever. I did use fat free sour cream in place of yogurt, and added a little curry powder in with the spices. Also used ground almonds at the end, instead of cornstarch. It is better than any restaurant. Thanks so much for sharing!!!!

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
This recipe is wonderful. The kids love it, it's easy and very versatile. I also make it with the low fat milk, and change the extras to whatever I have on hand. The only problem I have is getting it out of the pan. I do use a Pam spray, and I've tried paper lining, but it stuck to the paper! Any way, it's worth the effort, and it is a staple in my weekly baking! Thanks so much!!!

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2005
This is a great recipe. I use a smoked pork hock as the ham bone, and wow, the flavour is great! Once I take the meat off the bone, I pop the bone back in the soup as well, for extra flavour. There is never enough of this soup!!! Thanks for a real Keeper!

Waikiki Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2005
This recipie turned out good, the kids liked it, I found it a little bland. I added a bit of hot pepper flakes towards the end of cooking to balance the sweet flavour. I also used brown sugar sweetner, so it might have been that I should have used less.
