Oven Barbecued Beef Brisket II
I made this recipe for a large crowd on Sunday after church. I used pork sirloin roast instead of beef. I bought 9 lbs of meat and cooked in the crock pot in two batches using the ingredient amounts as given in each batch. I omitted the step of cooking with the lid open and opted to loosely break he meat up in the liquid and letting the meat absorbed the flavors of the sauce over night. I served it as sandwiches with bottled BBQ sauce on the side. Everyone loved it. Since I had some left over, I served it again to a couple of different "drop in" guests and got rave reviews once again.

Oatmeal Sourdough Rolls
My family and I really liked this recipe. I made half of it into rolls, and the rest into a loaf of bread. Making 12 rolls out of half of the dough made very small rolls. I would make larger rolls in future. The loaf was wonderful. Tasty and healthful. Mine had a dark but not too crisp crust, the inside was a nice even and soft texture. This will be my standard bread from now on.

Chocolate Chip Sourdough Muffins
I didn't read the other reviews before making these muffins, and they turned out very dense. Not at all light as I anticipated. I think there should be baking powder in the recipe. As for taste; I thought they were very good. I added a bit more sugar (maybe 1/4 cup), and three tbsps of cocoa powder and some nuts. I will try this again with baking powder.
