Erin's Indonesian Chicken

I am drawn to flavors from the East and I love peanuts and peanut sauces...so I naturally wanted to try this. My family and I were not disappointed. It is VERY good. I didn't change anything, but doubled the recipe for my hearty eaters. This will make it into my regular rotation. It's quick enough for a work night and delicious enough for anytime.

Pasta with Fresh Tomato Sauce

We liked this very much. My only issue with it is that it gets cold so fast because of the uncooked tomatoes but the flavor is great. My family loved it. I did change it slightly adding garlic and using Balsamic dressing. I also added the chicken from a store-bought Rotesserie for my kids' liking. Very good use of our bounty of tomatoes from our garden. This is a keeper.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

We love this soup. It looks so simple to make and even kind of boring in the pot, but it is delicious. I have to double it to feed my family of 5 and I do add a can or two of kidney or pinto beans to stretch it. It's very tasty.

Quick Chicken Divan

Wow! I wasn't sure if this would be good when putting it together so easily...but we loved it. I didn't alter the recipe at all and we served it over white rice. It was a big hit and we'll put this on our list of regular quick meals. Thanks!

Kung Pao Chicken

WOW! I was afraid to try this recipe as I've never had success with an Asian recipe. But, this blew me and my family away! It is so tasty!! The only thing I did different was to double the sauce (though not the waterchestnuts; 1 can is enough for us). I will make this many times over. It is fantastic. Thanks!!!

Rice Mess

This was pretty good for a meal I could whip up with ingredients on hand. My hubby liked it more than I did, but I'd make it again. I added a 1/2 tsp. of oregano & cumin as recommended. I also used corn instead of mushrooms because we love corn. Next time, I'll serve with hot, crusty bread to scoop it up. It's a kid, friendly meal.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

WOW! First my husband said "I think this is your best apple pie." Then after bite #2, "I think this is the best apple pie I've ever had." And after the 3rd bite, "This is the best dessert you've ever made." What a compliment, and it was so easy. I used Macintosh apples (5) and the only other change was to put half of the sauce in with the apples and then half on top of the lattice. It was such a beautiful pie, but the flavor is truly wonderful. I'll make this recipe from here on out. It was a wonderful birthday dessert for my hubby! Thanks!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

The flavor is very strong, but so good! I followed the recipe exactly and served the chicken over white rice with Mexican-style veggies (corn/black bean). It was truly a wonderful twist to chicken and I'll make it often. Just be careful not to overcook the chicken.

Garlic Chicken

I baked my chicken for 35 minutes and that was a bit too long as the chicken was on the dry side. The flavor is good, but my family prefers more--sauce, etc. I still plan to make again in a time crunch as it was incredibly fast & easy and it would be better if not overcooked. It also uses ingredients I have on hand at all times.

Breakfast Sausage Casserole

This recipe is truly yummy and was a hit at a brunch I hosted. I used Jimmy Dean "Hot" sausage and it provided a nice kick without being spicy. Next time, I'll probably add more cheese as this amount is subtle but it is yummy just as is too! I'll definately by keeping this recipe to make many times in the future.

Homesteader Cornbread

WOW! This was much better than I expected it to be. I served it with a chicken tortilla soup and it was such a comforting meal. The cornbread is wonderful as leftover too...20 seconds in the microwave made it hot & fresh again. I'll be making this often!

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

These cookies were a hit at a gathering I hosted. It was the first time I made them and they were so easy. I recommend at least doubling the recipe because the cookies are petite and most people ate more than a few. I'll make these often.

Hot Spiced Cider

The best spiced cider I've tasted yet! For large crowds (10+), you'll want to make on the stove top so you can double the recipe. I heated it on the stove, then transferred to my crock pot to keep warm and free up my stovetop. It disappeared quickly!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

My husband and I love this recipe. It truly tastes as good as any good pub's French Dip. I followed someone's suggestion to add a packet of McCormick's "Au Jus" sauce. Next time, I think I'll add a slice of melted cheese like my favorite restaurant. Thanks for a great recipe. This is a keeper!!

Tasty Chicken

We were pleasantly surprised by this recipe. It looks too simple and even while cooking I wondered if it might have enough "taste" for our liking. But it turns out an amazingly yummy, healthy dish. We are going to try it again with different vegetables for a different twist. I think this recipe deserves a better name than "Tasty Chicken."

Romano Chicken

WOW! This was my first recipe tried from this site. I was skeptic since it is microwaved, but the ratings and need for a quick dinner won me over. I am amazed at how easy and how yummy -- so was the hubby. I cooked for 7 minutes...will use this recipe many times again! Thanks!
