Dawn's Easy Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
These are amazing! I made a variation using chocolate fudge cake mix and canned buttercream that I added some mini chocolate chips too. So incredibly easy and extremely tasty!

Spinach Turkey Roll

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
The best compliment I could possibly receive from my husband: "you should give this recipe to my mother". Made the recipe using dry bread crumbs and toasted onion (didn't have fresh), and like other reviewers I covered the roll in extra sauce and cheese for the last few minutes of cooking.

Asian Roll Lettuce Wrap

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
I also browned the ground turkey in a pan with the soy, ginger and garlic as other reviewers. I cut back on the fresh ginger, since it can be really overpowering. This was very tasty and refreshing for such a filling meal!

Teriyaki and Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
This was delicious, just a little spicy for mine and my husband's taste, and I cut back on the crushed red pepper from what the recipe called for knowing that we don't like really spicy food. Will definitely make this again, but with a lot less crushed red pepper.

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
I made this for dinner last night. I put all the ingredients into the crock pot at once, as other reviewers suggested. It made the entire house smell delicious, but when my husband and I went to eat it....it had no flavor whatsoever. We were really disappointed and will not be making this again.

Chinese Broccoli

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
Used this sauce over some broccoli and pork last night. I made the sauce as written except that I used powdered Ginger and garlic because I didn't have fresh. Amazing!!! This came out so tasty. It had great sweet undertones while still being savory. My only complaint is that it is a little more salty than we are used too.

Pork Brine

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
This brine was amazing! I marinated some pork chops last night but only had them in the brine for about an hour and a half because everyone was hungry. The pork was so flavorful and juicy after we grilled it! I can't wait to have pork chops again because of this recipe!

Sausage-Stuffed Loaf

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
Made the recipe with only one change. I used refrigerated italian bread dough instead of frozen dough. This came out AMAZING. I made this for dinner with some marinara sauce to dip it in and my husband loved it.

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
This was great! I made it for my in-laws, and my father-in-law, who hates quiche, thought this was amazing. The only changes I made were to add an extra egg, saute the onions before adding to the batter, and I added some salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the egg mixture. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chinese Chicken Soup

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
I made this according to the reviews. I substituted spinach for lettuce, and yellow onion for green, and I cut back to 1 tsp of chile paste (the kind I have is extremely spicy). I also doubled the amount of broth, as I didn't think it would be soupy enough for my tastes. The broth of this soup was to die for. What a wonderful taste! I loved this soup, and so did my husband. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
This was the juiciest pulled pork I have ever had. Awesome. I used Mug rootbeer, and Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Bourbon BBQ sauce. Next time I will use a sauce with more tang, since the rootbeer is already sweet, but other than that I am hooked on this recipe!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
This recipe has become a hit with my entire family. My sister-in-law no longer orders pancakes at restaurants because she's so in love with the ones I make at home. I made the recipe as stated, and added a dash of vanilla extract, because I add it to everything I bake.

French Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
Wow. This was my first crack at making homemade bread, and it was a hit. The only thing I did different was to add some dried rosemary on top of the bread, which added a nice flavor to the crust.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
My husband and I both loved this. I was surprised at how tasty it was considering there were not a lot of ingredients. The consistency was great - not overly thick like some split pea soups I've had.

The best way I heard these described was by my husband's friend: "These aren't just chocolate and peanut butter, they are deliciousness."

This stew is amazing! My fiance begs me to make it at least once a week, which is quite the accomplishment because he is a meat and potatoes man. Thanks for the recipe!

Lemon Chicken

This was awful. Completely lacked flavor. I had to add a ton of soy sauce just to eat it. I will not be making this again.

Creamy Italian White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
This soup was great. I made it during a huge snow storm last night, and my fiance and I loved it. I made a few changes, I added more celery, more garlic, and more thyme, then followed the recipe as written. What an excellent way to warm a cold snowy evening. Thanks!
