Saucy Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2007
Very tasty! I followed the recipe exactly and came out very good. The garlic and ginger give it a little kick. My kids thought the sauce looked a little funny (applesauce texture), but it did help keep the chops moist ( I spread some on top of chops also). I made baked spiced apples and spooned over the finished chops-made presentation nicer. Great fall meal! Thanks!

Ida's Lemon Mousse

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2006
I made this very easy recipe for 300 women for spa night at church. Served in plastic champagne glass with 1/4 lemon slice as garnish. Went over very well!

Sauerkraut Relish

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
I really enjoyed this on brats and burgers! But, I think it scared ;my guests who mostly passed over it b/c I think they weren't sure what it was even though I tried to tell most of them. Those who did have it liked it. Not very appealing to look at, but then again most sauerkraut isn't! Worth a try if you're looking for something extra for the bbq spread!

Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
I make this butter in bulk for parties where I'm serving a vegetable medley. It gives the veggies a little something extra rather than just serving steamed. I roll in plastic wrap, chill, then slice rounds into steamed veggies to season. Extra's can go on garlic bread... or whatever!! Great basic!

Salami Lover's Italian Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2011
Great recipe! I added celery, grape tomatoes and cubes of mont jack cheese (same size as salami) and used shell macaroni. I made my own italian dressing and for the creamy salad dressing I just used a little bit of mayo to bind everything together- big hit!

Messy as all get out to make- but delicious. I used pistachios instead of almonds. Very well received.

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
Review based on orig recipe-add sugar and it becomes 5-star! I served this to 300 ppl for madrigal dinner. Salad had mixed greens, diced apple and pear, sugared almonds, feta and this dressing-it was awesome... with sugar!

Tortellini Salad with Grilled Tomato Vinaigrette

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
I messed up the dressing after trying to adjust the recipe to 40 servings. Way too much for my food processor and I was running out of time and patience, so I used bottled sun-dried tomato vinaigrette, which worked very well. I used the tri-color tortellini, red and yellow peppers, genoa salami and pepperoni. It looked amazing, so bright and colorful-great presentation for my graduation party! Oh, and it actually tasted great, too!!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
Wow- this was really good! After chix was done, I deglazed pan with white wine, let reduce, then thickened with cornstarch/chix broth slurry-the sauce made the dish! I did use minced garlic with the lime juice. Served with jasmine rice and broc- everyone loved!

Asian Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
Really wanted to love this, but just didn't-neither did my cookout friends. It was just enough different to be different, but not fabulous! Made as written-maybe just personal taste issue.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
I'd give more than 5 stars if I could! I made as written, except didn't have any preserves-didn't need it with the sugar. My fruit combo, which was beeeutiful, was nectarines, mango, kiwi, strawberries and fuji apple. Looked like the AR photo on recipe home page...and the cinnamon chips totally rocked!!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

liked the flavor of the sauce- but the method was lacking- not sticky. i think the sauce would be a great marinade. my family enjoyed, but it wasn't what i expected.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
Really enjoyed-great flavor. I had to add quite a bit more chicken broth. Also wished I had used a little less basil-mine from the garden was a little overpowering. Added garlic and red pepper flakes and served with chicken breasts stuffed with provolone, artichokes and red pepper-can't wait for the leftovers!

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

My family loved this! I didn't use the basil (nothing green for the kiddos). Covered with foil the first 30 min as suggested. VERY EASY-had everything on hand...thanks!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
My family loved this b/c it had bacon and cheese on it-I gave it 3 stars b/c I thought it was kind of weird. I used the Teriyaki Glaze from Kikkoman-didn't like the "tangy-ness" of the flavor combo with the ranch. I prefer to just use bbq sauce on chix, then cheese and bacon. Definitely edible, but probably won't make again.

Not that this needs another perfect rating, but WOW!! I used this for some homemade cocktail meatballs and can't wait to try it on ribs. This will probably be in my fridge all summer long! Thanks for a keeper!

Parmesan Spinach Balls

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
Very good! I used fresh, chopped spinach. Also added bacon and onions sauteed in garlic per other suggestions. We preferred them warm, not room temp. Served with a bistro sauce (like bloomin onion dip from Outback).
