About this Cook
I'm an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in Northeast Ohio and have a real passion for cooking and baking. I love and use it for 90% of my cooking ideas! I am very interested in healthy eating, as I lost 60 pounds on Weight Watchers and have kept it off for 6 years.
My favorite things to cook
Always healthy foods (except for the occasional baked good for celebrations), inidan food, and I'm starting to use my slow cooker whenever I can.
My favorite family cooking traditions
grandpa's potato salad for every holiday, Christmas cookie marathons, Buche de Noel on christmas day, Linguine and Clams on christmas eve, Baking and decorating cakes for birthdays.
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to make authentic indian food! I also pride myself in being able to cook just about anything in a very healthy way.
My cooking tragedies
too many to list! There is no triumph without some tragedy along the way. There is a rule in my kitchen that no matter what, the chinese take out is already on speed dial.

Best Brownies
Truly delicious easy brownie recipe. Cakey and just the prefect amount of icing. I did add another tablespoon of honey to the icing because it was dry and crumbly but otherwise perfect! These were a real hit at work!

Banana Oatmeal Cookie
SUch a FANTASTIC soft, satisfying cookie. Bursting with banana flavor and DELICIOUS with chocolate chips in it! I modified it with 1/2 whole wheat flour, 1/2 splenda and they were just still so fantastic. So delicious they could have been lightened up further and still tasted sinful. I am going to figure out how to cut back on the shortening next time- maybe applesauce or light butter?

Pumpkin Bar Icing
I used this recipe on a carrot cake and put in 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice and it was the creamiest, perfect sweetness and flavor icing i've ever had! I had some leftover icing and used it on cinnamon rolls the next morning for breakfast. SINFUL! I also used 1/3 less fat cream cheese and it was still great. It does soften up quickly so i wouldn't recommend trying to decorate with it.
