Navy Bean Soup I

I've made this soup several times. I use a ham bone whenever I have one. Great soup- much better than your typical bean soup.

Minestrone Soup I

I substitued 1 small zucchini and 1/2 c. spinach for the cabage. Really hearty and filling for a mostly vegetable soup. Yummm!

These bars turned out pretty good, although next time I will do half shortening, half butter. All shortening seems to make cookies taste too bland. I also used 3/4 c. whole wheat flour (1 1/4 c. reg) and snuck in 1/4 c. wheat germ and couldn't taste the difference.

Fresh Pear Cake

This was delicious- ate some right out of the oven. I didn't want to wait over an hour for it to bake, so I used a 13X9 pan and baked it at 350 for about 35+ min. Sprinkled with powdered sugar. Will try next time with ginger vs. nutmeg as was suggested and will cut sugar by 1/2 cup as it was little sweet for my taste. Thanks!

Pineapple Zucchini Muffins

These were great muffins- very moist. I think next time I will try using half oil, half applesauce as they were a little greasy on the paper liners. Good taste combination though- will make these again.

Cheesy Chicken Pot Pie

I thought this was a good dish, but for my family's taste I would only do a single pie crust on top and decrease the cheese by about half. Otherwise really good- will make again with modifications.
