About this Cook
I am a 21 year old newlywed living in Harker Heights, Tx with my husband who is an officer in the Army. I love to cook and entertain--experimenting in the kitchen is one of my favorite things to do.
My favorite things to cook
Anything and everything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother's made from scratch giblet gravy is a staple at our house during the holidays. My mom also always made us her famous chicken spaghetti for each of our birthdays.
My cooking triumphs
Making a cheesecake that didn't crack! Cutting up and frying my first chicken!
My cooking tragedies
My Christmas morning sticky buns that did not rise. :( Letting my crawfish ettoufee sit on the stove too long and watching the milk curdle...RIP perfect meal

Spicy Pumpkin Fudge
I was worried about this setting up, but it turned out perfect! I doubled the pumpkin and boiled it until the candy thermometer read 234, which took longer than 10 minutes on my stove. I also used 12oz of white chocolate chips as others had suggested.

Spicy Tomato Bisque with Grilled Brie Toast
Fantastic! Quick, easy, and delicious! I too used the sauce/diced variation and it came out fabulously!

Simple Caramel Apple Pork Chops
Wonderful! My husband really wanted a sweet pork chop dish like the one he eats at a roadhouse around here. The apples were so tender and succulent! We ended up grilling the pork chops and doing the sauce and the apples separately. I also doubled the brown sugar and butter to make more caramel sauce. :)
