Served this for a New Year's Day dinner I hosted and everyone loved it. A great side dish for simple fish or chicken dishes. Great for any season!

Lemon Green Beans with Walnuts

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
Very easy to make and simply delicious. I made it for a dinner with friends and all loved it. It was a bit on the lemony side but that's what would make it nice spring or summer dish.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
I didn't make the taco portion of the meal but prepared the chicken as described. Very tasty indeed. I served it with some orzo and green beans and it was well-received.

Rosemary Marinated Lamb Chops

Reviewed: May 23, 2005
I marinated these overnight and then grilled them on the barbecue, rather than the skillet. The meat came out succulent and very flavorful. Definitely will add to the barbecue menu roster for future gatherings!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 23, 2005
I made these as chicken cutlets rather than kabobs but after marinating overnight, they were quite good and tasty.

Barbeque Halibut Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2005
Absolutely delicious! So easy to make and the flavor was tasty without being overpowering. I did let the fish sit in a while in the sauce before grilling and it helped soak in the flavor.

Easy Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2005
The pork chops came out so tender and juicy and the sauce was very tasty. It came out a little too salty, probably from the combination of canned soup and soup mix, without enough water to dilute. Next time, I'll halve the amount of soup mix and give that a shot. An easy weekday dish!

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2005
Made our steaks very flavorful and easy to make. I used shell steaks, instead of rib-eye, which made the amount of marinade too much. I'll just make sure to halve the marinade recipe for two shell steaks!

Greek Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2005
Easy to make and was a hit at my barbecue. I had to add more pasta to compensate for the amount of marinade this makes. One 16 oz. box of fusilli pasta did the trick!

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2006
This is a good basic recipe. It took longer to make because slowly whisking in the flour and milk took a while. However, the wait paid off because it came out creamy and thick. I added more bread crumb mix to the top to make it crunchier.

Sweet And Sour Chicken Meatballs

Reviewed: May 1, 2006
This recipe was a big success for my husband and extremely picky son. The sauce flavor was tangy but sweet and blended well with the chicken meatballs, as well as the rice. This time, I stuck to the recipe directions but I may try others' suggestions next time, using different cuts of meat and maybe even try seasoning the meatballs before cooking them in the sauce.

Lemon Pepper Pasta

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
The flavor definitely has a good start. I made it exactly as instructed and I agree with others that the olive oil wasn't enough. Next time, I think I'll try the lemon pepper idea to bring out more flavor.

Chicken Oreganato

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
An easy recipe for the middle of the week. Following suggestions from others, I also greased the baking pan with a little olive oil and used Kosher salt instead of regular salt. The flavor was great!

A nice cooling flavor for a summer dip. Well-received by guests. A tad bit too much cucumber but that can be adjusted.

Hamburger Stew

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
I followed the recipe almost exactly, with the exception of adding some salt since it was tasting a bit bland. The flavor is defiintely good and the whole thing was super-easy to make. For my next go around, I will take the advice of other cooks and use less water and maybe add some tomatoes to the mix. Maybe even add some tomato paste to thicken it up a bit. Also, simmer longer than 30 minutes; I did it for 45 minutes and although it tasted fine, I think it will taste better if I left it for a little longer.
