Chicken Teriyaki - It's a Secret

This is a great recipe that is really easy to make. I put my chicken in the marinade overnight and add some fresh cracked pepper and some garlic powder (not salt, as you don't want it too salty). I also like to add a little brown sugar to sweeten it and some crushed red pepper for a little heat. This is really a great entree that is quick and my children really enjoy it. I have also cut the chicken into chunks and cooked them, then speared them with a toothpick and served with some peanut satay sauce on the side for a really quick and filling appetizer.

Blackberry Cobbler

This was really good. I layered it like others have suggested and it came out with a very crisp upper crust that was just yummy. I'm not sure why, but I had liquid on the bottom after the baking time. I just kind of spooned the extra water/sauce over the cobbler and the vanilla ice cream I served it with. I will definately try again and hope that the extra liquid at the bottom resolves. Great recipe and it is a nice change from the cakey type of cobblers.

Apple Pecan Cobbler

This is really good. I used apple pie spice instead of just cinnamon. I tossed the apples with the apple pie spice/sugar mixture. I omitted the pecans (didn't have any) and added a little vanilla to the batter. This smelled wonderful baking and wss so tasty. I topped the warm cobbler with homemade vanilla ice cream, which made it even better.

Chocolate Frosting I

This frosting is so easy and tastes great! It whips up so light and fluffy using the whip attachment on the mixer. It isn't too sweet and complements any cake. Try it, I think you will like it!

Banana Streusel Muffins

Wonderful! I made this into a loaf of bread and doubled the topping. Yummy! I also added 1 1/2 tsp banana flavoring and 1/2 tsp vanilla to the batter before pouring it into the pan. I doubled the amount of cinnamon in the struesel and also used some apple pie seasoning in bread since it added some other flavors. This is so good warm! Thanks for the recipe.

Strawberry Muffins

These were good, but I wish that I had read the reviews first. I had added pure vanilla extract, butter and strawberry flavorings on my own, but I think that the addition of cinnamon would have been wonderful. Very light, moist muffin. My children love them, so that makes them a keeper in this house. I think I will light roll the top in cinnamon sugar to give it that extra kick of flavor. Make sure that you add some vanilla or flavoring of your choice to really make these great!

Grilled Zucchini and Squash

This is wonderful! I added an onion, sliced very thin to the zucchini and yellow squash. I sprinkled the mixture with garlic powder, fresh cracked black pepper, red pepper and soy sauce. This tastes like the mixed veggies you get at the Japanese restaurants.

Best Easy Chicken Croquettes

This was a wonderful, easy supper. The taste was great and even better, my entire family enjoyed them. I did improvise somewhat though. I used an entire chicken deboned and shredded up. I omitted the celery and added garlic (we love garlic!) I ended up using the entire can of soup and 1 egg, which bound this together wonderfully. I also added a little italian seasoning along with the poultry seasoning for a little more flavor. Great recipe and I will be making this again.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

This dip is wonderful! My very picky teenager even ate some and declared it the best dip she has ever had...she felt it tasted like the inside of fried jalapeno peppers from local restaurants. As for the rest of my family, this was gone almost as quickly as I removed it from the oven. Delicous and I will be making this again and again. The only changes I made (beside cutting the recipe in half) included baking it, topping the top of the dip with bacon and adding a handful of Colby/Montery jack cheese. I will definately make a whole recipe next time. This is addicting!
