Cheesecake by ily :D
About this Cook
I love baking. That's one of my favorite hobbys... sometimes I try to make it healthy, but when it comes to birthday cakes... well, it is a "celebration" right? :P
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, cheesecakes, brownies... but specialy birthday cakes.. I bake a cake for every of my friends' birthdays and we all gather and eat it at school break.. it's nice :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really think I have one, but, my older sister always makes dinner from nothing when we are alone and we like to just mix thing up and see what comes out. Some of the most delicious dinners are the ones we make that way...
My cooking triumphs
Baking 6 chocolate cakes, 4 carrot cakes and 3 cheesepies in about 10 hours... that is my record in one day, but in that same week I baked another 6 pies and arround 120 cookies, all of them light and so tasty :) . In my highschool, in the last year, you have to take a class where you have to develop a small business, just as if it was real - with all the marketing, and legal research - I love baking and I proposed a Light Bakery.. not very common here in Mexico... We only won a Diploma as the Best Marketing Project, but I was pleased because we did our best, and did something I really enjoyed :)
My cooking tragedies
I was about to make some of my favourite cookies, the ones with white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts... but I was a little upset and had my mind somewhere else - that's why I decided to bake in the first place; it relaxes me - so i forgot to add the baking powder and baking soda :(.. this strange uncooked balls came out from the oven... then we just took the nuts out and ate them with my boyfriend, it was funny, and that made me feel better, so they actually helped! :D

Spanish Flan
This is the recipe i've always used... but for what here in Mexico we call Chocoflan or Pastel Imposible (in southern mexico.. Impossible Cake)... all you have to do is prepare a chocolate cake mix and pour it over the flan mixture, then bake it on water bath (350 degrees) for 1:20 hours.... I promise you won't regret it :)

Chocolate Meringue Cookies
I just ate up 10 of these... lol.... I added 1/2 T more of cocoa, didn't add the chocolate chips, and used 1/3 cup of Splenda BFB.. they were just perfect... next time i'll try with regular Splenda, since, apparently, i'll be eating too many of these ^_^
