Classic Chicken and Rice Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Excellent recipe. Delicious, quick and easy. Most of the time is spent simmering the broth and soup. Perfect for a cold winter meal!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
These cookies are absolutely delicious! I follow the recipe exactly as stated - and got exactly the results stated. This is by far the best recipe for cookies I have found on this site. If you haven't made these yet - make them - and add them to the top of your favorites list! On half of my cookies, I drizzled them with orange glaze to really bring out that ginger flavor. I just melted 1/2 cup of butter in a sauce pan, mixed in a cup of powdered sugar with 1/4 teaspoon grated orange rind and thinned it down with orange juice until it was the right consistency to drizzle (about 4 teaspoons of orange juice)

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Very delicious recipe! The lemon added a nice touch, and all the flavors worked very well together. It took a moderate amount of time to prep, but any good meal does!

Maple Walnut Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
These weren't the best muffins, but certainly weren't the worst either. They seemed a bit bland. Next time I will add something like nutmeg, or allspice to give it a bit of zip. As previous reviews have stated, the maple flavor is barely noticeable (even when adding an extra 1/4 cup of real maple syrup) I will follow the suggestion of using the more strongly flavored artifical maple syrup next time.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

I have to say, this is as 5-star delicious as everyone says! I prepared it exactly as the directions stated, even though many people did differently. It was perfect - exactly as is!

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
This is one of my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes. Everytime I make these for someone, they ask what my secret is. I think the finely ground oatmeal adds that nutty flavor, without the coarse texture. When I make these they always come out perfectly. I always use semi-sweet chocolate chunks and milk chocolate chips. I don't really measure the chocolate chunks and chips, I just add it until it looks like there is enough. Everything else I do exactly as stated in the recipe. Seriously, you have got to try this recipe! But be warned, once you make them people will always ask you to make more!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
This was a delicious recipe! As other reviews have stated, I would mix the ingredients thoroughly, not stir them in as just stirring them in produces unmixed spots in the finished loaf - and it didn't rise as I would have liked... but it tasted excellent and was a huge hit!

Ham and Brie Sandwich

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
This was an absolutely delicious sandwich! I never would have thought to pair the apricot preserves with the brie ham and mustard! This was a huge hit with the guests, and is often requested! As a varation, I have also used granary bread (5 grain bread etc) and it tasted just as delicious!

Very good twice baked potatoes! Easy to make, and a hit at the dinner table. I baked the potatoes in the microwave to save a bit of time, and it came out perfectly!

Bacon and Roquefort Stuffed Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
Delicious and easy recipe to follow. Because the burgers use 1/2 lb meat each, and are then stuffed they come out to be pretty large burgers. The second time I made these instead of stuffing the burgers, I just seasoned the meat according to the recipe and topped the burgers with the roquefort and bacon, and they were just as tasty, and easier to eat!

So simple, yet so delicious! I never would have thought to prepare my asparagus this way, but it's much better than just steaming it!

Orange, Walnut, Gorgonzola and Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
This salad was extremely delicious and easy to make! I took it with me to a date's house for dinner, and he was so impressed! The only change I made (only because I was pressed for time) is I bought the DelMonte mandarin oranges in the glass jar instead of buying, peeling and sectioning navel oranges.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
Very delicious, and easy to make. I would however add salt (to taste) to the recipe unless you are serving with heavily salted chips or crackers.

Spinach Quiche

This was absolutely delicious! It instantly became a family favorite! Easy to prepare and very filling. I cut down on the butter as recommended by other cooks, and crisped the crust for 5 minutes in the oven before adding the mixture and eggs. Perfect!
