Pan-Roasted Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2014
I will make this again and again! It is key to use chicken breasts with the skin still on. The veggies were to die for! And best yet, it is simple to throw together, without much of a mess. (Easy clean up.) I put my meat thermometer in at 45 minutes and the chicken was at 190 degrees-- ooops. I'll check way earlier next time.

Ghirardelli Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2014
I used to be a mousse purist and would only make mousse that used whipped egg whites (no whipped cream). I like the addition of whipped cream, and the taste is amazing. HOWEVER, anyone who follows this recipe to a "t" will have a failure. Whoever wrote the recipe should be ashamed! You have to separate the egg whites and whip just those. As in some other recipes, I added the yolks to the chocolate (after tempering the yolks). I hope they will correct the recipe so people don't get frustrated.

Popularity Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
This is my go-to snack when I have to bring a treat somewhere. They always get devoured. I tried them with graham crackers once, but this version was not as popular. I'll stick to the Club crackers next time. The bonus is it's so easy and non many ingredients.

Easy Sugar Cookies

I don't know why anyone would pick another sugar cookie recipe. These were so easy and turned out perfect.

Charlotte's Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
This recipe was SO delicious! I actually made it with chicken instead of sausage because that's what I had, and plus it's a little healthier. I wasn't in a time crunch this time, but if I am when I make this again (because I WILL be making this again and again)I might just buy a bag of frozen carrots/celery/onion.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
It's not often that I make a recipe off here that I think is as good as other reviewers reviewed it. But this.... this was different. It was DELICIOUS! It was so creamy and had just the right amount of seasoning. I did double the sauce (except for the seasoning packet). It made a ton, so for only 2 of us I might half the recipe next time. But trust me, I WILL be making this again (and again and again!)

Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
Two thumbs way up from me. I would definitely make this again. I didn't have any eggs, so I substituted 2 tablespoons ground flax and 6 tablespoons water. It turned out so tasty!

Easy Honey Mustard Mozzarella Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2007
I thought this was very good! I will make it again. I used real bacon bits to save time. (Plus I wanted to make sure the bacon got crispy, as this was a complaint in other reviews.) Next time I will add even more bacon bits because the bacon flavor is the perfect addition to the recipe. I did halve the sauce originally, and then when I took the dish out to add the cheese and bacon, I dumped most of the extra sauce out b/c I did not want the chicken swimming in it. Definitely don't use the full amount of sauce-- it will go to waste! Overall, great mix of flavors and very easy!

Bow Tie Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2006
I was really hoping this was going to be delicious, but it was just okay. It wsn't *bad* tasting at all, it's just that it didn't have much taste. The lemon flavor didn't come through, even after I added extra lemon pepper. It was easy to make, but I won't be making it again.

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2006
This was my first time making lasagna. I always thought making lasagna was difficult, but this was quite easy! We almost ran out of sauce for the 3rd layer, so next time I will add another jar, as most people have suggested. I will be making this again!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2005
I was so excited about this recipe because of the rave reviews, but I'm sorry to say it just wasn't that good! I mean - we ate it with no problems, but it certainly wasn't a stand out meal. The chicken was a little dry. All the juices from the liquid evaporate away within a few minutes and you're left with dry, lime-flavored nuggets of chicken. It was ok, but not great.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2005
Excellent! I made a few changes. I added pre-cut broccoli (3/4 cup), and to make it a little healthier I used low-fat sour cream and for the topping I only used 1/8 cup of butter and fewer crackers (a little under a cup.) It was so creamy and fulfilling. I'd highly suggest it and will be making it again.

Zucchini Boats on the Grill

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
The taste was good, but I don't know what I did wrong.. they turned out way too soggy. There was even a little water at the bottom of the tinfoil. In the picture, the top looks browned. Were you supposed to put them top side down? Or rotate them? I just put them bottom side down and they didn't look nearly as appetizing as the one's in the picture, and were super soggy! But, it's not a total loss...they still tasted good!

Low-Fat Pumpkin Mousse Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2005
I made this as a mousse without putting it into the pie crust. While it didn't astound me or blow me away, it was REALLY good for something so low cal/low fat! (I guess you just can't compare low cal desserts with regular desserts.) Next time I might add a little Splenda to make it a little sweeter. I added up all the ingredients and divided by 4 servings (instead of the recipe's 8) and calculated a serving at only 155 calories. Not bad at all for a dessert that is filling and tastes pretty good! (Hey it even has a little calcium and some fiber in it!)

Pineapple Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2005
I have a few questions to those who have made this already. (These are from a new cook..I'm still learning.) :) 1) If you put the chicken in a baking dish and bake it in the oven with the sauce, is it okay to use this sauce again to put over rice? 2) If you bake it in the oven with the sauce, how long, and at what temp? 3) If you grill it with veggies on the skewers as well, can you marinate the veggies and chicken on the stick together in the same sauce? Thanks for your tips! I don't want to get salmonella poisoning. :

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2005
This makes one great chicken noodle soup that is even better the next day! If you're in a hurry though, beware! The prep time says 10 minutes, but it took me over an hour to prepare the soup! I boiled the chicken seperately and then chopped it and addedit to the soup, because when whenever I boil chicken, I get a yucky foamy thing going on on top of the liquid. I also added more noodles, but probably didn't need to... the egg noodles expand a lot!

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2004
The recipe is the favorite thing I've tried from allrecipes so far! It is absolutely delicious. I replaced the whole tomatoes with another can of diced tomatoes. I think what really makes the recipe is the sour cream. It really adds a great flavor. I used light sour cream and it turned out great. It made a LOT of soup, but this is great because I loved it so much!
