Slow Cooker Barbecue Goose Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2005
My husband is a HUGE goose hunter and we have a freezer full of goose breasts. This is so easy and VERY good. I even enjoy it and I don't like goose that much. I like to add the sauteed onions and garlic to the slow cooker....gives it great flavor.

Wild Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2005
I have made this for years. I can not eat a steak without it! The more of a mix of types of mushrooms the wilder the flavor. I use one package dry brown gravy mix and 1/2 cup water for the demi-glace. Turns out perfect!

Spaghetti Sauce III

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2005
This, too, was my first time attempting spaghetti sauce without the jar. It was so quick, easy and tasty! I did take another reviewer's suggestion and doubled the tomato paste. I like a thicker sauce, more like Prego. I'm sure with just the 6 oz of paste it would give you more of a Ragu-like sauce. Very good!

Scalloped Corn I

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2005
Great side-dish! I did omit 1 tbsp of the white sugar, and the sweetness was just right. I think it would've been too sweet with the second tbsp. Easy and good!

Layered Chicken and Black Bean Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2006
This is excellent. Perfect for when you're craving Mexican. It honestly has a true Mexican flavor. I made the Red Enchilada Sauce from this site and it was great! This dish is even better the next day. Will definitely make again.

Irish Cream Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2005
I made this last night as a test-run for the holidays. As is, I gave four stars because it just wasn't Bailey's enough for me. Next time, I will add some to the topping as another reviewer suggested. The texture was great and did have a good flavor...just needs a little more irish cream, I think.

Sara Jane's Oatmeal Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2005
Excellent cake. Mine also took closer to 50 minutes to bake. I added about 1/4 tsp of cinnamon in addition to the nutmeg. Very easy and very yummy!

Jalepeno Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
This was pretty good. My husband loved it. It took longer than 20 minutes for the edges to turn golden. The dip wasn't as smooth as I was expecting. Next time I will try leaving it in the oven longer. Overall it had a good flavor. It was quick and easy too.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2006
Excellent! The first time I made it, I thought it had too much of a mayo flavor so the next time, I used 1/2 cup of mayo and 1/2 cup sour cream. I also added about 1 tbsp of horseradish. Much better the second time. One of our favorites!

Grilled Venison Backstrap

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
Excellent venison recipe! My husband is very picky about his venison and this was great! It didn't have that gamey taste.

Best Peach Cobbler Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
This was ok...it just didn't have much flavor which may have been my fault. I used lite peaches and added tbsp less of butter. Will try again. Very easy.

Wow! These are awesome. And easy! I followed the recipe exactly, made them for a party and everyone raved about them. No more brownies from a box!

Amazing White Clam Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2005
This recipe was pretty good. I, like others, prefer a thicker sauce. I halved the olive oil, used heavy cream instead of half & half as suggested, and it was still a little too runny. I added about 2 tbsp of corn starch to thicken it up. The taste was great though.

Excellent! I did sprinkle the apples with a little cinnamon as suggested earlier and a little allspice. Disappeared in no time!

Classy Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2005
Overall this was very good. When my husband saw it he said, "It does look classy! Let's eat at the table instead of in front of the TV." I did make a couple changes. I cubed the chicken breasts and added more garlic. I served it over pasta. I think next time I will add fresh mushrooms as well. Great recipe!

Cherry Fluff

I make this for every holiday meal. It's a must with the family. I usually add a small can of mandarin oranges too. We've always called it "Sin Salad"

White Chili

Excellent White Chili recipe! I followed the recipe exactly and had no trouble with the chili being too watery. I did add a couple teaspoons of cumin. I let it simmer for about an hour and it was perfect!

Never Enough Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2005
Wow! This is such a nice break from the same ol' green bean casserole. The bacon pieces and cheese really make this taste great. I'm sure it will be a hit at Thanksgiving! I wasn't able to find the bacon/cheese spread but used the Kraft Old English spread...it was perfect.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2005
These were ok. Took them to a BBQ but didn't get many raves. All I could taste was the raspberry jam. If I were to make these again I would add a little cinnamon and nutmeg to the topping.
