About this Cook
I live in central PA. I've been in the kitchen since I was about 13, and grew up working in restaurants - everything from dishwasher & bus girl, to server, cashier, line cook and chef! Mostly, I love to cook for my family and friends - there's nothing quite like hearing how much they love your food!
My favorite things to cook
Almost anything in the slowcooker, but especially pizza chili! I also love wings, strombolis, and trying new marinades and sauces.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't have a lot of family cooking traditions, just that I do Thanksgiving dinner!
My cooking triumphs
I don't know that I've done anything particularly triumphant - but I love to feed people by the dozen and can usually pull it off.
My cooking tragedies
Banana bread! I don't care what recipe I use, it's never moist enough or with enough banana flavor - still looking for that perfect recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Read other reviews and took some advice: used only 1 can of biscuits, added them about 90 minutes before we were ready to eat. This was okay, but nobody was excited to go back for seconds, and I had to eat the leftovers by myself...

Maple Salmon
Even my picky 8 year old ate this without too much cajoling. This was easy, fast, and very tasty. Will make this again.

Chicken Noodle Soup
I used a rotisserie chicken, first boiling it for awhile and then tearing the meat by hand. That made for some tasty broth and delicious chunky chicken in the soup, which was delish. I also had some okra to use up, so I threw that in, too, and it was awesome. I made this for myself when I was sick, and I was not disappointed!
