Broccoli Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2014
I passed on the ricotta & added two eggs to that mixture instead. I also increased the overall motz to three cups. It reminds me of something that I used to eat during my pregnancy. It was a jewel brand presidents choice vegetable lasagna that is no longer available, I'm so glad that I came across this recipe!

Slow Cooker Moscow Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2014
I really enjoyed the flavor. However the bacon in the crockpot remained soggy, and half the sauce was bacon grease. So I put the oven on 400 and baked for 20 min to make the bacon edible. The sauce although tastes, was too greasy, and not enough to pour over rice. Next time I will halfway cook the bacon getting rid of half the grease, and I wouldn't wrap it...double Russian dressing, and skip the crock pot all together. I would layer chicken on bottom garlic, ginger, green onions, dressing and bacon laid on top. Cover and bake at 400 for 30 min and uncovered for 20 with bacon on top to crisp.

Sauce Rosee

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2014
Used one bag med shirt and cooked till bright pink while boiling water, omitted sugar (we don't like sweet sauces) and green pepper (doesn't agree) and only a pinch of thyme (introducing to my family I learned to add half of new spices to them or very limited) .... Also followed other comments by boiling wine first then tomato sauce. I also used fresh parsley, onion and garlic. Rather thAn dry (doubled parsley). I think we eat too much cooked for 6? And fed 3...

Cousin Cosmo's Greek Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
Made a slight variation of this recipe. Our family likes our chicken cooked a certain way, and we had very thick chicken breast. So what I did was slice them thin first, (I also do not own a mallet) I then created little pockets and put the feta cheese mixture in. I needed a little more flour to coat the chicken breasts. I preheated the oven to 350°. After frying the chicken in the olive oil, I put them in a 13 x 9" pan. Then I used 3 cups of chicken broth, 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, and three cloves of garlic, and added that to the pan with the chicken in it. Chicken was about halfway in broth. I then set the timer to bake at 350° for 50 minutes. After 30 minutes I then started preparing a rice pilaf made by Zataran's (2boxes). I substituted in the recipe for the rice pilaf Subtracting 1/4 cup of water for one large diced tomato. Steamed the spinach for five minutes. When rice pilaf was done I added half of the spinach to the rice pilaf for extra color, and some feta. I plated the dish with a layer of rice pilaf then spinach with the chicken on top, then added a ladle full of the broth that was cooked with the chicken. YUM! Will definitely be making this again and again!

One Dish Vegetarian Dinner

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
I loved this although my son says he wants protein, so next time I will try to add some chicken, or cook it on the side for him. Would double feta amount for next time. Used 2 cans of whole olives, and added 1 diced tomato, and Parmesan.

Easy Kielbasa Skillet Dinner

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
My family loved this. I prepared my potatoes first by dicing, sprinkle olive oil, and baked in oven. I did this to save time for when my family got home all I would have to do was cook the sausage & broccoli. We love this sausage so I used 2 pkgs. (family of 3), and 6 red potatoes. We like the sausage really brown so I cooked those first then onions, broccoli, and potatoes. Put lid on, set flame to low and was ready in 30 min. Has all the components of our favorites.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
My family enjoyed it. I made the mistake of browning my meat first. Next time I plan on making a lighter version, as well as adding a can of water to the recipe to make sauce thinner.
