Cranberry Orange Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
Use up that cranberry sauce! I made this after Thanksgiving and substituted left over whole cranberry sauce for fresh cranberries. I also took the idea from others and here are the extras ingred. I added: 1/2c vanilla yogurt, splash of vanilla extract, hint of nutmeg and cinnamon. I cooked in a mini loaf pan @ 350 for about 23 min. Thanks!

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
I have been making these sandwiches for years. Here is how I make mine. I use Au Jus and sometimes swiss cheese. I put the meat in the au jus and to warm it. Meanwhile, I butter the hoagie rolls and put them under the broiler just to brown. Then, I put the meat and cheese on one side of bun and put back under the broiler until the cheese is melted and starts to brown. Then it is a matter of preference. Serve as is are put mayo and/or mustard on the top bun. sever with a dipping bowl of Au Jus. So good.

Sesame Stick Snacks

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
I added more sesame seeds and mixed them with the flour before adding the wet ingredients. The dough so very sticky so I lightly dusted it with flour to knead. Also, I put the dough between 2 sheets of foil, I had sprayed lightly with pam and rolled it out directly on the baking sheet. Then with a pizza cutter made strips and cooked without separating them. After the cooking and cooling period, it was very easy to separate the strips. Easy and nummy!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
This was so good... I almost cried. lol. I didn't have any Italian sausage so I made my own using the Homemade Sweet Italian Sausage (Mild or Hot) recipe from this site. And I only had 1 can of regular tomatoes and 1 can of Italian seasoned tomatoes so I used those. It tasted great! Thanks so much for the recipe!

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
My family loved these. I made exactly as recipe stated the first time but, reduced the ketchup on the second batch, because we preferred a more beefy flavor to the tomato taste. As others had suggested, I used a can of cream of mushroom and added a jar of mushrooms to the gravy. I used Italian bread crumbs for more flavor. Then I browned each side of the patties and put them casserole dish with the gravy on top. I baked them at 375 for approximately 45 minutes. Second batch will be the way I make these from now on. Soooo good. Thanks again.

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
Thanks for posting. I substituted cornstarch for the tapioca flour. I also used fresh ginger instead of ground, because that is what I had. Next I put in soy sauce and beef bouillon. The flavor was yum! My eggs got "puffy" so I will try the suggestion of others and thicken the soup with the cornstarch before adding the eggs for my next batch. Also I will let the eggs cook undisturbed to get the ribbons. Will make again for sure and throw in some tofu. I'm hungry just thinking about it. lol

Stuffed Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
I found the can of soup alone was to thick, so added milk to thin it out as others had suggested. I also added mushrooms to the gravy. I put grated parmesan cheese in the stuffing. Family loved this! Thanks for the recipe.

Just made this recipe. I was worried when I added the oil... who wants greasy fruit? But Wow, this has a great flavor. But I think I will try it with less oil next time. Thanks for the post!
