About this Cook
I am a mother to five awesome children! I am a recipe junkie! I love trying new recipes. I usually plan my weeks meals out in advance and try to put 3-4 new recipes on the meal plan every week. I love this site because it allows me to "idiot proof" my meals. I can find out what everyone else did or didn't do to improve it. It makes me look like a way better cook!!! My kids love it!! We rate every meal on a scale of 1-10. If it gets lower than a 7 we don't make it again! :)
My favorite things to cook
My husband is from Texas. If he had his way we would never have anything other than Mexican food! It is fun to try new things and broaden our horizons. I would try almost anything once! My family is usually pretty adventurous as well. As long as you throw a family favorite in every so often!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My oldest is 10 and the youngest are 5year old twins. The thing I look forward to the most is cooking with my children. Creating new things to try! They love to watch me cook and all consider themselves food critics!! :) Every time we try a new recipe they all rate it for me....If it is a 7 or above it will get made again!! :)
My cooking triumphs
I did catering before I had children. I would love to at some point go back to catering. I loved it!! Such a rush to see it all come together!

Pork Medallions with Balsamic Vinegar and Capers
This was fabulous!!! I disagree that the sauce needed to be doubled. Was perfect as is!! We used big fat boneless pork chops and it was perfect!! Restaurant quality meal!! Thank you doll!! :)

Tuscan Soup
This was fantastic!! I used Jimmy Dean turkey sausage crumbles and added 1 can petite diced tomatoes and a can of rinsed beans. It was amazing. The kids even loved it and it is so good for you!!!

Fresh Asparagus Soup
This was a wonderful flavored soup!! I used chicken broth and milk products instead of soy. Even with skim milk it was creamy and delicious! My only problem was the asparagus was stringy. I even cooked it very well and used my emulsion blender. I would try it again for sure!
