Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
Very tasty and easy bread. I made it twice, and the 2nd time didn't have quite enough OJ so I added a big dollop of sour cream to the mix. I liked it even better that way. I also did a glaze on top (butter, conf sugar, splash of milk, 1/2 t of vanilla) that was a nice contrast to the tanginess of the bread. This is a keeper.

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

I rarely give fives but this one deserves it! Next time I'll leave out the nuts. The glaze is kind of time consuming but worth it. I refrigerated my cake overnight. Big success!

Baked Apricot Chicken

It was easy and not bad tasting. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Paige's Feta Slaw

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2005
Good slaw. I reduced the olive oil a bit, and used basil/marjoram as someone else suggested. The feta is an unusual and good touch.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2005
This is an easy, tasty recipe. I made the same changes others did: 1 1/2 cups flour and 1 t vanilla, (and 1/4 c white sugar and 1/4 cup brown for the topping). I also added a healthy dollop of sour cream, which gives it a slight tang, and increases your baking time by about 5 minutes. YUM!

Spiced Yogurt Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2005
This was very tasty. Be sure to give the butter plenty of time to soften. My bundt cake turned out like an oversized donut, however. I left it in the oven (as another reviewer suggested) while the oven cooled but it didn't help. I'd make this again but probably not in the bundt pan. Also, I made the glaze (1T butter, 1T whole milk, 1 1/2 C powdered sugar) suggested by another reviewer and that turned out very nicely.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2005
Quite dense. Plenty of banana flavor. I made this twice, upping the brown sugar to 1 cup (not packed) with the second loaf. It's good bread. Try the recipe (also on this site) that adds a little sour cream to the bread. I think it's better than this one.

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2005
This is tasty and easy. Good game-day, tailgate party fare. I'd suggest using PORK SHOULDER for the tenderest results. You won't have to add water. I used a fresh onion, too, instead of onion powder.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Sorry but this pie did not work out at all. Face-puckering, gelatinous, soupy mess.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2005
Good spuds. If you double the sauce, you might not want to double the honey; it can get too sweet. Tasty recipe.

Bill Clinton's Lemon Chess Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2005
This was pretty good. If I could add a half star I would. If I make this again I'll use cream instead of milk as another reviewer suggested, and reduce the amount of sugar a bit.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Really tasty spuds. I used garlic powder instead of fresh garlic but it tasted great. I got rave reviews on this one. Thanks!

This is a terrific recipe. I cooked mine 18 minutes (after searing) and it was still VERY rare. I'll definitely make this one again.

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2005
This was really tasty -- by far the best Allrecipes recipe I've tried. I used a can of diced tomatoes and frozen spinach and it turned out great. Go easy on the red pepper flakes.

Very tasty. My dumplings didn't turn out all that well. I'd probably just leave them out when I make this again.
