Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2015
Didn't have whole berry so I used jellied instead and added a little water to the crockpot. I also made the gravy (which was delicious) in the crockpot on high, after I took the meat out. It turned out great and got rave reviews. So tender and juicy. Will definitely make again.

Maple Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2015
Used frozen sliced carrots which I cooked on the stove. Added the butter and syrup to the pan after I drained the carrots. Loved the flavor. It's a keeper.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2015
I used 1 lb. of meatloaf mix and 1/2 lb. ground beef. I put the brown sugar and the ketchup on the top and doubled the amount called for. I cooked it for and hour and fifteen minutes. It was delicious. My husband really liked it, said it my best effort yet. He even enjoyed it again a few days later! It's a keeper!!

Made this exactly as directed, no changes. Really good. Have made it several times now, always good. Sometimes I use hot sausage for a little extra zip.

6 Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2015
So easy and so good. Not the healthiest soup ever, but everyone needs to indulge once in awhile. I've made it with canned and left over chicken. Excellent both ways.

Golompke (Beef and Cabbage Casserole)

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2015
I took others advise and used salt, pepper and garlic while browning the beef and onions. Also added some hot sauce to the tomato soup and water. But some shredded cheddar cheese and bread crumbs on top. Also used minute rice as that's all I had on hand. Very tasty, even my picky husband enjoyed it. Will definitely make again.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2014
Made these as directed and it was good, but something was missing. Then I realized I forgot the onions!! I did add Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder as others suggested. Will try again, but remember the onions and I think it will be a keeper.

Homemade Deviled Ham Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2014
Changed a few things- added 2 tablespoons of pickle relish. Would put a dill pickle spear in with the ham and onion next time. Also used 1/2 a small onion and added more hot sauce. Used mayo as that's what I had on hand. Very tasty.

Grilled Pineapple

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2013
Loved it. I too used canned pineapple and while fresh probably would have been better canned worked perfectly well. I followed the recipe, just added a couple dashes more of hot sauce. Went great with the spareribs we had for dinner. Would marinate longer next time. Will definitely be making this a lot this summer!

Baking Mix Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2013
Bought blackberries at the farmers market because they looked soooo good. Now I had to find a recipe for cobbler. Liked the ease of this one and followed the comments about using less sugar with the berries. The cobbler was delicious, easy to make and a hit with the family. Will definitely keep this recipe and try it with other summer fruits. Thanks for sharing.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2013
It was my turn to make the office birthday cake so I was looking for something that would satisfy our love for the 2 basic food groups, chocolate and peanut butter. After reading all the reviews I made the cake, adding the eggs to the dry mixture and omitting the oil (I put the peanut butter in the microwave for 15 seconds to make it more spreadable). I also used chunky peanut butter which we all love. I hate trying a recipe for the first time on company, but the reviews led me to believe I had nothing to worry about and they were right!!!! It was a hit, everyone loved it. And I agree. It was moist, rich and yummy. Well worth the caloric intake. I will definitely make this cake again.

Tried this for Easter dinner and it was great. Doubled the recipe as I had lots of company. Cooked it with the ham at 350 for 2 1/4 hours and the potatoes were done. Everybody liked it. Thanks!

The Most Easy and Delish Meatloaf EVER!

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2013
Always looking for a good meatloaf recipe that is moist but will stay together. I think I can finally stop looking! Didn't change the recipe, but I did add a sauce for the top of ketchup and brown sugar. Really good.

Jen's Fresh and Spicy Salsa

Love it! I leave the seeds in the peppers and leave out the hot sauce. Sometimes I use regular onions depending on what I have on hand. Really good and easy

Dutch Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
I was searching for new Christmas cookies recipes and came across this one. It has become our favorite. I double the recipe and then give them out to only best friends, the rest we keep for ourselves! My grandson and I decorate the chocolate after it has melted and they look great. Very tasty and everyone who tries them really likes them too.
