Gelatin Divinity

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
Wonderful recipe! I made it with lime gelatin, and also with raspberry. Both taste fantastic. As a newbie to candy making, I was not too sure about the whipping "until the candy loses its gloss," so each batch I made came out a little different texture-wise. But all the candy was deliciously edible.

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
I'm new to candy making of any kind, so this recipe was perfect for me. I made it with regular peanuts (roasted with oil & salt) and it came out just fine. After I ran out of peanuts I made it with pecans and walnuts, both of which tasted great. Then I ran out of light corn syrup, so my last batch was with dark corn syrup and whole almonds, and this, too, was great. It's a wonderful recipe!

Carrot Dill Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
I looked for this recipe after we enjoyed the Dill Carrot Soup at the Union Station Museum Restaurant in Ogden, Utah. I used baby carrots, and let my dried dill weed and fresh chives soak in the milk while the carrots, onion, and garlic simmered in the broth. We rate this even better than the restaurant's version!

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2003
These ribs are fabulous as well as easy to make. I now use this dish for potlucks and picnics. We've found that the leftover ribs (a rare thing) freeze well and come out tasting just as good as they were the first time around.

Gorgonzola Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2003
I made a variation of this salad, using balsamic vinegar, garlic, olive oil, no salt, and mixed greens. It is wonderful! The leftover dressing (either in your salad bowl, or reserved from the recipe) makes good dipping for a firm bread such as sourdough or chewey "artisan" breads you see in stores these days.

Vanilla Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2000
Very rich, very good. We did notice a build up of butterfat on the backs of our spoons when we ate this lovely concoction. Making ice cream at home is a bit of a chore, but the no cook recipe makes it quite a bit easier.

Jodi's Marinated Veggies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2000
This recipe is delicious and quite flexible. I used baby carrots and green, red, and yellow pepper strips and all marinated very nicely. It was very popular with my friends and family.
