About this Cook
I don't have time to cook during the week, but on Sunday's and Holiday's I enjoy doing it. I have a toodler and want to set a foundation for healthy eating.
My favorite things to cook
I love Holiday cooking i.e. turkey, cookies and pies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother makes awesome tamales filled with pineapple and raisins.
My cooking triumphs
My first Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner impressed everyone! It's turkey the Michigander way which I found on
My cooking tragedies
Prior to the internet I attempted to make cake and added sugar to the baking mix, needless to say it was a disaster.
Recipe Reviews 3 reviews
Basic Fondue
I used 4 cups of cheese and about an extra cup of milk it was still stringy. My family thought it was good, and it's easy to make.

Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad
Better than the bland store bought macaroni salad, much more flavor! Very much worth trying this recipe.

Colonial Pumpkin Bars
It was very easy to prepare foolproof! I did not want the frosting to be extremely sweet and only used 2 cups of confectioner's sugar and 6oz. of cream cheese. It was great! My whole family enjoyed it and it made my sister-in-law jealous!
