Tilapia Soft Tacos with Chipotle Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
LOVED these! I did not have any greens, but suspect some shredded cabbage would really add a nice dimension to the dish. I had them both hot off the stove and served cold the next day and loved them both ways!! The cream sauce has a delicious smoky bite to it, but it was a tad too warm for my non-spice loving hubby.

Strawberry Twinkie Dessert

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
WOW. This will now be my official go-to dessert recipe for picnics and potlucks. I took the advice of other reviewers and used the Supreme Strawberry Topping recipe instead of the store bought glaze. I also could not find Twinkies at the store, so I used the Strawberry Cake Rolls instead. I found 15 rolls (whole, not cut in half) fit perfectly in a 9x13 pan and was a perfect match for the amount of filling/glaze on top. The entire pan was GONE in 10 minutes and I had people hunting me down all day asking for the recipe.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2008
I was originally going to give it 4 stars since it wasn't quite the "WOW" recipe I expected, but after I took some leftovers to work for some coworkers I knew I had to give it 5 stars. They were drooling over it and demanded the recipe. My husband, who despises spinach, ate it willingly and even voluntarily took leftovers for lunch the next day. Only "changes" I really made were to use the shredded meat off a whole broiler chicken, only one package of spinach instead of 2, whole wheat lasagna instead of the standard lasagna, and cottage cheese instead of ricotta. Next time I make this, I will take the advice of other reviewers and mix the chicken, spinach, and sauce together instead of keeping them separate.

Cinnamon Cream Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2007
Loved these! Although a tad time consuming, they're easy to prepare and are delicious hot or cold. My husband (a very picky eater) thought these were outstanding... I have a feeling these will wow our friends and family, too.

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2006
WOW was this a great recipe! Very simple to make yet tastes like it took hours to prepare (I did take the advice of a previous poster and chilled the dough prior to rolling)... I took this to an office picnic and people were stumbling all over themselves to get another piece. I had more requests for a copy of this recipe than for any other dish I've made.

Peanut Butter Candy Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
While I did not use the chocolate icing given in the recipe (I had no chocolate chips in the pantry, so I used a Texas sheet cake frosting recipe instead), I must rate it a 5 given the simplicity of the dessert and the flexibility of the recipe. If I didn't have enough graham crackers, I crushed up Frosted Flakes. I made this 3 times in one weekend for friends and had no left overs!

Pumpkin Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
I made this for my husband because he loves pumpkin pie and I do not, so I was hoping this was a good compromise. What a hit! I, too, added more cream cheese in my frosting, and used a cinnamond blend (it included nutmet)rather than plain cinnamon. I'm not sure how much of it I used as I ended up dumping rather than measuring. I used a 9x13 inch pan so it took longer to cook (use the toothpick test!) but it was AMAZINGLY moist. I took some to work and was treated like a gourmet chef!

German Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
Simple to prepare! I love sauerkraut and chicken, and the barbeque sauce sweetened up the dish just enough without taking away from the tange of the kraut. Will include this in my rotation of dinners.

Crab and Shrimp Delight

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
When I taste tested the recipe after the first 35 mins, I was in heaven!! Rich sauce, hearty pieces of seafood... But when I added the french fried onions, it changed the entire flavor of the dish. It was awful! I actually threw it out. The casserole suddenly took on a burnt taste from the onions. I will make it again but eliminate the onions and only cook the dish for the original 35 minutes... then it will earn 5 stars!

Cider Vinegar Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2004
I used boneless breast tenders and used an oven bag to bake the chicken. I was very pleased with the flavor. It was a nice change from the typical chicken dishes I've made. Easy, flavorful, and healthy.

Holiday Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2004
First time I made homemade stuffing and it was great! I will never make boxed stuffing again! I made the cornbread and cooked the sausage the night before to save cooking and clean up time, and it was perfect. I did omit the green pepper because I can't stand it in any dish, and this still was a hit.
