Crab Rangoon

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
WAY too much worcestershire sauce for my taste and kind of bland. Not the flavor I was looking for. I will try a different recipe next time.

Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
I baked as directed but did not have mushrooms so didn't use them. VERY tasty but too spicy for the kids and those not used to spicy foods. I will definitely make again but cut down on the red pepper depending on who I'm making it for.

Crab Stuffed Mushrooms III

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
The recipe as written is pretty bland. Regarding the soaking - I tried it soaking the mushrooms and not soaking the mushrooms and both ways were watery but soaking them was more flavorful. These are the changes I made: increase bread crumbs to 4 Tbsp, increase salt to 3/8 tsp., increase crab meant to 8oz, add 1/4 tsp parsley, add 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. When soaking the mushrooms I drizzled LIME juice on them because that is all I had and only rinsed them off with hot water, didn't really soak them. The texture and taste was much better with the lime soak/rinse. The extra breadcrumbs really soaked up the water and the extra salt let all the flavors really come out. Also, be sure to blend the ingredients as the recipe states, don't just chop them up. I HATE celery but you can't even taste it since all the ingredients are blended together.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
THIS IS IT!!! When I was a child my friends mother made THE best bread pudding. I have been searching and tasting bread pudding and nothing came close. THIS IS IT!! I'm so happy!! In my case it's all about consistency. I used 6 stale french rolls. broke them in 1/2" cubes. Did not use butter or margarine. Used only 3 eggs (can't stand eggy). Used 2 small boxes of raisins. I mixed everything together in a large bowl to a nasty looking mush but after it was baked it was PERFECT!! Not to custardy, not too bready a perfect combination of the two. I do not like it when you can separate or tell there are cubes of bread, i like the bread pudding dense and this was!! THANKS A TON!!!

Banana Bread IV

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2005
i halved the recipe, added cinnamon, used 3 bananas, and no nuts...almost perfect. dense, moist and flavorful all the way through to the ends!! I was worried because i had it cooking for almost 2 hours. i checked it every 15 minutes or so and toothpick was still wet. i had to cover the top with foil. also it didn't rise that well but it sure tasted GREAT it wasn't ugly just not beautiful but I personally don't make banana bread for looks. I willd definately make this again and again.

Monster Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2005
very good. I will make again and again. just enough pnut butter taste and just enough oatmeal taste. I didn't use any chocolate chips. I only made 1/3 of the recipe and got 18 very big cookies. I think next time I will add some cinnamon and maybe apple chunks...very good!!!

Crispy Butterscotch Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2005
The texture was weird. Not something I would make again. My 2 year old gave the cookie back to me after she took a bite. Flavor was fine but the texture was crunchy in some parts then too fluffy in other parts.
