Chicken Chile Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2013
I made this the first time following the recipe except I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned. It was good, very rich, but that's what kept me from eating a whole bunch of it. The second time I made it I used a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, a little less cheese, and spicier tomatoes. YUMMY! I will make this a third time when I need a treat!

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2013
I have made a lot of recipes from this site, but this one will be removed from my recipe box. The chicken was dry, the cheese disappeared and the stuffing was mush. It really had no flavor. It sounded good in theory, but I did not like it.

Crispy Edamame

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
These were very good. As another reviewer suggested, I put the FROZEN edamame in a container dumped in the other ingredients, shook it up and spread them out on parchment paper on a baking sheet. They were good and crispy!!

Shrimp Quinoa

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
This is a great dish and easily adaptable to the items you have on hand. The only changes I made were dried cranberries instead of raisins and lime juice instead of lemon because it's what I had. The only thing I would do differently next time is use more of the raisins or cranberries, probably 1/2 cup. Thank you for a great recipe that I will make often!

Chicken Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
This was a big hit at New Year's. I screwed up by trying to make it lighter-instead of plain yogurt I accidentally bought sweetened plain yogurt. Still good, but I think unsweetened plain would have been a lot better so I'm giving it a 4.

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
This is my 'go to' pizza dough. Easy!! I usually add garlic and basil to make it even more tasty.

Chicken Garlic Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
I doubled the sauce as suggested and it was a good amount. Next time, I will flavor the ricotta with something because it made the pizza rather blah. I like the concept, but it needs some work. Will definitely keep trying with new ideas. I did add fresh mushrooms, red bell pepper and sliced banana peppers.

Simple Coleslaw

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
I used this recipe mainly for the dressing-I had never made coleslaw dressing before. Very good!! I did add more vinegar and sugar to suite my tastes. I used the coleslaw with the Irish Tacos recipe on this site.

Irish Tacos

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
I questioned this recipe because the sauce contains a lot of plain yogurt. I hate plain yogurt-it's bitter. Even before I put the tacos together I was still skeptical because when I sampled the sauce, bitter, plain yogurt was all I could taste. BUT THEN...I put it all together and YUMMO!! Delicious--I used the coleslaw dressing recipe from "Simple Coleslaw" on this site too! Oh, and it does make a lot more yogurt sauce then you would probably ever use

Easy Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
If I was rating this on taste alone I would have given it three stars as it is not amazingly flavorful. However, it's a great base (and VERY easy) and there's a lot of room to play around. The only things I did differently for the first attempt was to add crushed garlic and I used flour instead of cornstarch simply because that's what I had on hand. Will definitely make this again with some changes...when I figure out what those changes will be.

Spicy Seafood Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
This was decent enough to make for a cold day especially since everything was on hand. I did not change anything and to me it tasted very much like spaghetti sauce w/ potatoes and seafood, which makes sense when following the recipe. This is something I will experiment with...maybe less spaghetti sauce and use flavored diced tomatoes. Not sure yet!

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
This was fantastic!! I did it as a layered casserole instead of enchiladas to save time. Enchilada sauce covering the bottom of the 9x13 (don't forget to spray the pan). Six corn tortillas over the sauce. Layer of the cottage cheese mix, layer of the meat/veggie mix and repeat. Then cover with the cheese and bake. The only thing I would do differently next time is to use more enchilada sauce.

Uncle Howie's Favorite Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
I have made this recipe over and over and over, and everyone RAVES about it. I do add a few extra cloves of garlic and have been known to use hot sauce in it from time to time. I also have used low fat cream cheese and mayo and it is still excellent. Thank you!!!

Lobster Tails Steamed in Beer

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
I have never made lobster tails before and this turned out very well. I will definitely do it again. I had two-4oz tails that were partially frozen. It took about 13-14 minutes. I used a light beer and added some garlic and there was no beer taste in the lobster.

Champagne Shrimp and Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
My husband and I are pasta fanatics and this is by far one of the best pastas we have ever eaten. The taste is like nothing you would ever expect, but it is delicious. Typically I modify recipes to our spicy taste needs, but the only thing I did different was that I used both shrimp and scallops. I would recommend or serve this to anyone!
