Salmon in Oyster Sauce

This was so good and fast! My local whole foods doesn't sell my teriyaki sauce anymore so I had to make something similar. I used a Stevia in the Raw since I'm on low carb diet finished what was left in my oyster sauce bottle. I used less about 2/3 cup of water. I sauté the garlic and then sprinkled 2 packets of the stevia sugar in the garlic oil. I didn't have green onions and didn't thicken with corn starch for lack of time. I will do both next time. The sauté with garlic and sugar is definitely an important step in this recipe.

Janine's Best Banana Bread

I made this with semi sweet chocolate chips and followed the changes submitted from the reviewers. I changed it by adding 1/2 c of white sugar, 1/2 c of brown sugar, (instead of all white sugar) 2 tsp of vanilla, 1 tsp of cinnamon and added 5 bananas and semisweet chocolate chips and then followed the rest of the recipe with the other ingredients. It came out moist inside and crusty on the outside. I made this in a bundt pan since I thought it would overflow in my bread pan. I put cooking spray and floured it since it can come out of the pan easier. I wanted to add a white frosting but didn't since I wanted to try how it tastes. Next time I will try a white frosting but this will be my recipe for banana bread.

Easy Paella

It's a great base to start with. I had leftover chicken breasts seasoned with trader joe's salute seasoning and leftover zucchini. I omitted the lemon zest and red pepper. I didn't use paprika since I didn't have any. I followed the recipe with the above modifications since I was in the mood for paella but didn't want too much work and steps. I did add a can of diced chillies with tomatoes and as per another reviewer added 2 packages of sazon with saffron in addition to what the recipe calls for. Excellent dish-my husband and son and especially I loved it.

Linda's Cranberry Cookies

I just made these cookies for my christmas cookies exchange. I had to think of another cookie to make since i want to keep it for myself and my family! It was so good and delicious! The only thing i did was add chopped fresh cranberries in addition to the dried cranberries. My kids and hubby loved these cookies!

Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Pretty good cookie. I did add more brown sugar/lessen the white sugar and added an extra 1/4 tsp of baking soda to the 1tsp already added. It is cake-like - I do like it as well as the chewy kind too. I would like to find a recipe that is more chewy and fuller cookie like this one. I think the baking soda made it rise more. Overall a really good cookie and recipe.

Easiest BBQ Pork Chops

My husband really liked this although I copied the recipe from reviewer Kathy Kimball: I did everything except I added smashed garlic to it. I browned the chops in onion powder, garlic salt and pepper. I don't like mushrooms so I only have cream of chicken soup - it worked GREAT! I used 1/2 cup bbq (Sweet Baby Ray - I think) and 1/2 cup ketchup. I also only had the crock pot on 4 hours and just let them sit the last hour in the pot turned off. WE LOVED THESE PORK CHOPS.

Champagne Shrimp and Pasta

I made this the first time for an informal dinner party and it was a hit! The only thing I added extra was garlic-with the mushrooms as well to the champagne with the shallots. I omitted the tomatoes. It was great! It wasn't heavy at all and this is a definitely a keeper for informal dinner parties.

Cuban Ropa Vieja

I just made this last night and it was really good. It was missing some salt so I added some on top and also added a little soy sauce when I read the other reviews that it wasn't salty enough. I added the soy sauce with all of the other ingredients when I put everything in the crock pot. I really liked it and so did my husband. I made black beans and brown rice to go with it. It was really good!

Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies I

I just made these cookies and needed to use an extra bag of butterscotch chips so I made this recipe. I didn't have any butterflavored shortening and used the same amount of butter. I also added 2 eggs, 2 cups of Oatmeal 1/2 cup each of chocolate and butterscotch. Everybody loved the cookies. I may have to add this to our Christmas cookie list. Thanks for sharing.

Shrimp Pad Thai

I actually really liked it-if I was able to give it 3 1/2 stars, I would. I was craving pad thai that I had to make it. Instead of vinegar, I used rice wine vinegar. And I ate it with the hot chili sauce on the side. I also used chicken instead of shrimp since that's what I had. I actually like Thai Kitchen pad thai sauce better than this one but this one really satisfied my Pad Thai craving!

Italian Style Pork Chops

This was an excellent dish. I've always had trouble with pork chops since I never know how to make it-mine usually comes out dry. I followed the other reviewers comments - used italian style breadcrumbs instead- with the rest of the ingredients, and had leftover bacon grease and added a little butter to it(I realize the fat content must've been huge after I did this). I used thin cut pork chops and baked at 425 for 10 minutes and then under the broiler for 2 mins. Hubby and 3 1/2 year old loved it. It worked great with sweet potatoes and green beans. What a quick way to make dinner! This will be one of our usual items on the dinner menu.
