Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
Excellent. My husband I both loved it, and I completely ignored all the other dishes on the table. You can definitely switch up the vegetables. We used onion, mushrooms, red and green pepper, and zucchini.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
Oh yum! I am on a mission this winter to find the best recipe for different types of soups, and I don't need to search further for chicken noodle. This was fabulous - even better the second day after the spices had to mellow a bit. I added carrots and a little more chicken than called for - I used an entire store bought rotisserie chicken. I'll be making this soup frequently this winter.

Hearty Pasta Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
I made this yesterday - the only thing I omitted was the peppers because I can't eat them. It was really good. I used sweet sausage and that along with the sugar made it a sweet soup - a little unexpected on the first bite, but not unwelcome. There is no added salt in the recipe. I didn't think it needed any; my husband added a little at the table to his own taste. The only thing I will do differently next time I make this soup is to saute the onions in the pan after I do the sausage until they are soft. They were still crunchy after the soup had cooked completely, and I would prefer them softer.

Yummy and a very nice change from plain old veggies. I used frozen corn and added a small amount of salt.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Yum. The only thing I did different from the recipe was to flatten the chicken first. Very tasty. I liked the jack cheese on it.

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
This is very good. It's actually even much better after sitting for a day whent he flavors all blend together nicely. I did mine in a crock pot. I sauteed all the vegetables up until the celery. Then I put them in the crock pot and added the other ingredients.I left the salt out until the end and found that it needed very little, about 3/4 tsp.

Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

I followed the recipe exactly, but my husband and I both thought the sour cream overwhelmed the rest of the ingredients.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
This recipe is great as is or I add 1/4 cup of soy sauce for a little extra flavor. I slice it very thin and serve it on sliced portuguese rolls with melted swiss. Excellent dip sandwiches. My 7 & 4 year old kids love it.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
I've tried making many meatloafs, and this is the one that my family has liked the best. I used beefy onion soup mix (because it was all I had on hand) and cut the steak sauce in half because I'm not a big fan of steak sauce. The left overs were even better tasting two days later. It's also one of the easiest meatloafs I've ever made.

Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2006
The chicken turned out juicy and nice to look at, but the marinade really overpowered the chicken. It was very sweet. Not horrible, but not something I will be making again.

Very good and flavorful. They were a good side dish to filt mignon for our Valentine's dinner. My husband ate five of them and they were really big!

Lover's Beef Burgundy Filet

I made this for Valentine's dinner and it was delicious. My husband could not stop raving about it. I did the filet's in the broiler instead of on the grill, and they turned out fine. I'll be making this for other special occassions.

Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup

Really good. It takes eleven hours so instead of starting it in the morning, I started it the night before and let it cook all night. Then I just reheated it later that night to eat. I did add a little salt.

Vodka Rigatoni

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2004
This was very good. Even my 21 month old had three helpings. I didn't use the crushed red pepper and halfed the roasted red pepppers because of my kids. The only thing I might change next time is to half the sugar because it was a little sweet for my taste but my husband didn't think so. It was very easy also. Dinner was on the table in under 40 minutes from start to finish.

This is very tasty and a wonderful unique dish to take along to parties. My relatives always ask me to make this when there is some type of celebration with deli trays, etc. REally nice alternitive to the usual pasta and potato salads.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2004
This is a very good recipe. I have never used the curry in it. Whenever chicken thighs are on sale, I buy them and use this recipe with them. I've tried it with boneless breasts, but it's better with pieces with skin on. My four year old loves this recipe. It's also very easy.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

I'm not a particularly big fish fan, but my husband has asked me to put more fish in our diet so I tried this recipe. It was very good. Not "fishy" at all. Even our 3 1/2 year old son enjoyed it. I will definitely make it again and would serve it to guests.

Smoked Salmon Vodka Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2002
This was very tasty and my husband and a guest we had over the night I tried it thought it was really great. Just a note: it needs very little salt. I put in probably a quarter teaspoon and it was too salty.
