I was looking for a ways to use quinoa and came across this recipe. In that regard, this recipe is great. What a terrific way to have quinoa. I gave 4 stars because my husband and I both felt that it was a little bit too sweet. If I make this again I would probably omit the brown sugar and maybe add some mustard.

Candied Sweet Potatoes

These are delicious. I followed some of other reviewers suggestion and put the potatoes in a 9X13 and baked them, instead of doing the stovetop bit. I also added marshmallows on top. The selling point is the brown sugar, butter, orange juice mixture, though. Love it! Everybody at the Thanksgiving table said these were the best they had ever had. I would have to agree! Thanks!

Caramel Corn I

You definitely don't need as much popcorn as the recipe calls for. I only used 1 1/2 cups and it was perfect. I omitted the nuts (didn't have any), but followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Very good, not the best caramel popcorn I have had, but still very good.

The biscuits tasted fine, but were not big and fluffy "as advertised." If you want a regular old biscuit recipe, this one works.

Butterscotch Brownies I

I used to make butterscotch brownies from a cookbook of my moms. These tasted just like those brownies. I'm not a nut fan, so I left out the walnuts. Otherwise, I followed the recipe to perfection.

Tangy Sirloin Strips

I bought sirloin steak on sale at the grocery store, having never cooked with it before. When I found out that it is the toughest cut of steak I was nervous about finding a decent recipe. Well, this is most definitely a decent recipe! My husband and I LOVED this! I made it for him for Father's Day and it couldn't have turned out better. I had to make a few substitutions due to what I had in my pantry, but they were minor and I don't think it changed the outcome much. I used McCormick steak seasoning in the marinade, instead of the other spices. I used all barbecue sauce for the glaze, no steak sauce. And I replaced molasses with dark karo syrup. I highly recommend this recipe. This is delicious!

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

I could not get enough of these. I loved them and so did my husband. The flavor is super. Just make sure you bake them long enough. No fault of the recipe, I was just ancy to try them and they were a bit too chewy. Follow the recipe and you should be fine.
