Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
excellent recipe! I want to share this with everybody I know (or maybe not, so they are impressed when I make it for them!) It was the very first recipe I made in my bread maker. I didn't place them in the oven, but used the griddle like some suggested. Mine didn't puff up but honestly, I didn't really put much time into the rolling process. Next time, I'll try to make them prettier. These were the best pitas I've had, EVER! My entire family loved them. We ate them with hummus, but they were the star. I will make these very often. Thanks so much!

Greek Style Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
I read that some people had cut down on the water or oil, but i decided to try the recipe as is. The only change I made was to throw the potatoes in the bowl to get the mix spread evenly, and i used vegetable bouillon. I used red potatoes which have a really thin skin, so I didn't peel them. I did cook them covered as suggested to make sure they cooked all the way through, but uncovered them the last half hour so they would brown. I had made extra hoping to have some for tomorrow's meal, but they are all gone! It's very difficult for potatoes to actually absorb the flavoring but this one did it. One of the best potato recipes I've tried. Thanks for sharing it!

Souvlaki

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
This was so delicious! I didn't have that much time so I only marinated them for about half an hour. I'm sure they'd be better left longer, but don't be discouraged if you don't have the time. They still came out great. I couldn't grill them, I was about to put them in the stove, when I decided to try them on the griddle. They came out great and I paired them with the greek potatoes recipe, which is also excellent.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
the picture doesn't do the sauce justice. I've used this recipe for 3 years already and everyone loves it! it is so quick and simple too. I think this year I'll try adding pecans to it

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2004
This recipe is wonderful. My peeler was broken and I got a little lazy and didn't peel the apples. However, it still came out excellent. I already had all the ingrediants at home, so I even saved a trip the the grocery store! Next time, I'll actually peel the apples!

Sweet Candied Orange and Lemon Peel

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2004
This is a really good recipe! I didn't make the lemon, just the orange slices. The most difficult part was the clean-up! Remember that whatever is left of the sugar mix, will dry very hard, very quickly, so if you're throwing any leftover mix out, don't pour it down the sink!! I did it carelessly and had to boil some more water to dissolve the hardened sugar on the sink! The slices taste great though. I dipped them is melted chocolate and they are divine!
