Family-Style French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
Great recipe!! I made it for Easter breakfast and everybody loved it. As per a previous suggestion, I peeled and thinly sliced 3 large yellow delicious apples and added them to the brown sugar layer. I also had some blue berries and added them too. I used regular white bread and baked it for 30 minutes. No syrup needed. So much easier than making french toast the regular way. Definitely will make this recipe again and again.

Easy Swedish Apple Pie

Not impressed. Whole recipe is bland... and I followed suggestions from other reviewers. Gave it one star because it was easy.

Strawberry Pie V

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
This recipe worked very nicely with frozen strawberries. I just defrosted and drained my strawberries really well before I put them into the crusts. The recipe made enough glaze for 3 pies... easily. The glaze set up really well and everybody in my family was amazed that "the pie didn't run". Will be making it again... and again... and again.

Mexican Pizza

Great appetizer!!! For Thanksgiving I made the "pizza" and cut it into 2 x 2 squares with a pizza cutter. Everybody loved it. Very easy to make. Will definitely make this again.

Grandma's Peach French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2006
This french toast is so easy to make and is sooooooo good. I used the extra egg and 1.5 cups milk as previously suggested. I also chopped the peach slices into smaller pieces. Very easy to serve this way. The key to NOT having soggy french toast is to cook this uncovered.

Old Fashioned Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
I used frozen strawberries and 3 tablespoons cornstarch like another reviewer advised, but my pie was VERY runny. Taste was OK but won't be making this again.

Big Guy Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
Excellent pie!!! Used whole frozen strawberries that I defrosted, drained, cut into halves and sprinkled an 1/8 th cup of sugar over them. Added a total of 3 tablespoons cornstarch into the cup of water and then added the sugar, salt and food coloring. When the glaze was cool I gently mixed the strawberries into the glaze and then filled my own pie crust. This pie set up beautifully over night. No drips or runs!!!

Grandma's Secret Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
I found a keeper!! Still can't believe how good this recipe is. I substituted the shortening with 1/2 margarine and 1/2 shortening. The crust was flakey and tender and "picture perfect". I chilled the shortening before use and chilled the dough for one hour before rolling it out. I even froze 2 rolled out crusts and they came out perfect! If you can't make a decent pie crust, try this one!!

Graham Cracker Crust I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
Easy to make and tastes good. (didn't use the cinnamon) Only problem is the pie crust shrinks when baked. I made it with a greased and ungreased pie pan and it happened both times.

Strawberry Daiquiri Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
A very easy recipe. Pie was good but needed more strawberries. Needed the freezer to firm up. Made it for Thanksgiving and most people like it.
