Jerk Grilled Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
Wonderful! I really enjoyed the blend of spices in the dish. Nothing was overpowering. I admit I did not include the habanero pepper to make it more tolerable for those that couldn't handle the heat, but I'm looking forward to making this spicier next time. Thanks!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

I've made these cookies a few times now and always get compliments for them! I really love how quick and easy it is to make these cookies, and the crunchy cinnamon-sugar coating is a great balance with the soft, buttery cookie. Delicious!

Blueberry Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2005
Very tasty - just like muffin tops as other reviews have mentioned! It's a great way to use blueberries, and I snuck in a little lemon juice in there for a little extra kick. Not my absolute favourite cookie, but it's definitely up there.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2005
This is a nice recipe that's really easy and quick to make, and I especially liked the fact that it needed very simple ingredients. The serving size seems really off though. I ended up with 4 medium sized pancakes. Those pancakes need to be tiny if you want 8 servings! The batter was a bit too thick for my liking; it wouldn't even pour out of the bowl, and they weren't fluffy like I had hoped. It was too dense for my liking, and 1 teaspoon of salt was definitely too much as well. The pancakes still came out alright but nothing spectacular and there are probably better recipes out there.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2005
My *favourite* oatmeal cookie recipe so far. They were very simple to make, and the cookies smelled so wonderful out of the oven. I didn't use as many oats or raisins as suggested and that was still more than enough. Must make this again sometime!

Brownie Oat Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2005
I originally followed another review that said to double the amount of corn syrup in this cookie. That was a really bad idea! I finally came back to this recipe and tried it again, this time following the recipe exactly, but I had to add some vegetable oil because there wasn't enough moisture to incorporate the ingredients well. The cookies still turned out rather sticky, but much better than the last time. You can taste the nice hint of chocolate, but they still seem to be missing a little something that would improve the flavour and counter the sticky corn syrup. I don't think I'll really want to make them again.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2005
The best chocolate chip cookie recipe I've EVER come across. I've yet to find a recipe that beats this one! It's nearly impossible to mess up, and the results are unbelievable every time. The cookies are wonderful fresh out of the oven, and are still rich and chewy days after... if they make it until then, that is. I've made these cookies more than any other, and we ALWAYS run out fast!!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2005
Not quite sure how other people's brownies came out cakey or dry. This was my first attempt at making brownies period. I doubled the recipe, followed a previous tip of blending the ingredients on high for a while until it became a nice thick mixture, baked it the full 30 minutes, and it came out so rich and moist and chocolatey! I added some chocolate chips to the icing too and it's just so delectable. This is a perfect recipe to satisfy a chocolate craving.
