Thai Beef Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2005
I didn't care for the steak cold, so next time I may make extra sauce and marinate the steak raw, then serve it warmed. Other than that, the flavor was perfect!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
I used this and a recipe for Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, dabbled with both, and ended up with something that was really good. Like others, I had enough filling for 2 pies, but needed twice as many raspberries. Speaking of, I did have issues getting the raspberries strained, so one cheesecake was a little crunchy (No one seemed to notice but me :)

Garithes Yiouvetsi

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
Like others, I needed more tomatoes, so I would double the amount called for. Otherwise, it was very good!

Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
I used this and a recipe for white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, kind of mixed up the 2, but it turned out VERY GOOD! I also recommend, if you have the time, making you own crust. Definitely would've turned out better.

California Chicken Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
As per others' suggestions, I added chicken broth to give it more sauce. I've made it twice now and my husband LOVES it! Thanks, Molly.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
I really liked this, but my husband didn't, so I can only give it 3 stars. It's pretty much Tex-Mex, which I like. We live in So. Cal. near Mexico, so the hubby only likes authentic Baja. Thank you for the recipe; I'll just make it for myself.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
I thought the choco chips were too much, at first, but as the cheesecake chilled longer (really the next day), I started to really fall in love with it. I made another a few days later. The only problem- you have to wait sooo long to cool it before you can eat it :)

Chicken Satay

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2004
Per others' suggestions, I cut down the soy and lime juice (1/4 cup each). I also made an extra batch of sauce for dipping, which we also used the next day heated over noodles. I would definitely serve this recipe over rice or noodles. Maybe even add bean sprouts, carrots and cucumbers.

Asparagus Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2004
This is a very good recipe for anyone who isn't crazy about asparagus. I omitted the extra salt because of the soy sauce, kept out the sugar, and used rice vinegar instead of cider (because I had it on hand). I also don't like asparagus mushy, so I didn't saute too long. I liked this so much I made another batch after dinner.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Flan

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
We love flan and this is the best recipe I have found for it. This recipe sounded a lot harder than it actually was to make (it was very easy). I follow the same recipe but sometimes omit the chocolate and it is still excellent. Also, I use one baking dish instead of a muffin pan or ramekins.

Asparagus, Chicken and Penne Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
I've made a variation of this recipe before, using spaghetti noodles and adding mushrooms. When there's about 3 mins. left, I cook the asparagus with the noodles, rather than in the skillet. Also, try adding white wine or broth to keep it from being too dry. It's a very easy recipe and is great for weekday meals.

Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
I really like this recipe. I used minute rice, so it takes no time at all to cook. Definitely a good side dish or quick lunch.

Andouille and Chicken Creole Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
We love spicy foods and liked this dish. I had a hard time figuring out what consistency the sauce should be, so I added more cornstarch to thicken it some. I would fix this again.
