Cream Cheese Apple Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2012
SO GOOD! I did take the advice of other reviews and add spice. I added 1tsp of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of nutmeg. Could probably even do with a little more. Maybe pumpkin pie spice? They are light and fluffy and still moist the next day. They're a hit! Will definitely make these again ... maybe tomorrow :)

Strawberry-Balsamic Ricotta Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
This recipe sounded so interesting I was just waiting to love it! Ended up a little disappointed. Not terrible just not great. Maybe the tortillas? Not sure what it was but probably won't try this one again.

Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
YUM! This was so good. I'm a sweets lover but I thought 5 cups of powdered sugar would be too much even for me. I only used 4 (maybe even a little less) and it was wonderful! This is my new go to cream cheese frosting recipe!

Fancy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
These were good but not very peanut buttery and they didn't stay soft even for the next day. Next time I would double the peanut butter!

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
This is the first time I've ever made pulled pork. It smelled so good while it was cooking! I followed the recipe exactly and it came out very watery so instead of putting the pork back into the juices, because I was worried it would be to runny, I just added a whole bunch of Sweet Baby Ray's brown sugar BBQ sauce to the pulled pork and it was so delicious! Everyone loved it! We topped the sandwiches with the Easter Grass Slaw from this site and it was so good!

Easter Grass Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
This was a huge hit! So delicious! I served it with pulled pork sandwiches and some even topped their sandwiches with it and it was so yummy! I added more apple. I wanted more the next day so I quartered the recipe but used quite a bit of slaw and apple and I think I liked it just as good. That eliminated a bit of the sauciness but any which way it was so great!

These are my favorite! I first tried this recipe months ago and have had it over and over since then. I make it exactly like the recipe says and they turn out perfect every time! Thanks for this recipe!

Poached Orange Pears

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
We loved this recipe! I've never made poached pears before and was pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of it - and the awesome results. It was delicious! I topped the pears with homemade Cardamom Cream (Just 1 cup heavy cream,1 Tbsp superfine sugar, and 1 teaspoon ground cardamom whipped until stiff peaks form)It was a very interesting, delicious pairing!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
AMAZING!!! We loved this soup! I made my own broth the normal chicken soup way and after all the ingredients were mixed and creamy I left it in the crock pot adding about 2tsp each (that's because I doubled the recipe - only use 1 tsp if using the recipe as is) of ground thyme, poultry seasoning and salt. I also added the leftover white rice I had in the fridge. You can season to your liking - either way there's no going wrong with this soup. Even my 10 year old loved it and he's not a huge soup fan. :)

Blueberry Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
This was a total hit! I used it as a cheesecake topping and it was amazing! We used the leftovers on pancakes and ice cream and just as great all around. I only used 2 Tbsp of cornstarch and it was perfectly syrupy at that! This is one for the recipe box!

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
Loved it! Substituted beef broth for chicken broth because I didn't have any and it turned out great. I accidentally used very spicy salsa but it was still great and so easy! Can't wait to try it with mild salsa!

Sweet Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
This was a 5 star recipe without the 1 cup white sugar, just like everyone said. I made this for a catered wedding and it got rave reviews. I added summer sausage, olives, cubed cheddar cheese and substituted the one green pepper with half of a green and half of a red pepper. The sauce makes enough for 2 lbs instead the one in the recipe (which worked out great since I had a boat load of pasta to make). I loved the tangy sweetness of the dressing. I will definitly be making this salad again!!! Thanks so much for the recipe, it's just what I was looking for!!!

Marinated Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2007
This was the best! The whold family loved it. I can't wait to share it with guests! I made it late and only marinated it for an hour and a half and it still turned out scrumptous! I used thinner turkey breasts and grilled them on a preheated to 400 degrees grill for about 8 or so minutes per side and they were beyond moist and the taste was to die for! Can you tell we loved it! Thanks you so much for this recipe!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2005
This recipe rocks! I think it's the best apple crisp I've ever had. I did make 1 1/2 times the amount of crisp to have an extra thick topping and it was delicious! The crisp is perfectly sweet and crumbly and so easy! Thanks, I've been looking for a recipe like this!

Vanilla Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
I loved the creamy consistency of this pie! The only thing I would change would be to add some extra pumkin pie spice. I added it instead of the cinnamon and more than the recipe called for and it was still pretty bland although everyone seemed to like it with cool whip. The extra spice would make it awesome!

Tim's Green Bean Casserole Extraordinaire

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2004
This was a hit at our gathering. Everyone loved it and asked for more! I love the variation from the traditional cream of mushroom soup mixture. I was worried it would be to different but it wasn't at all and it was unbelievably flavorful. I did substitute the cornflakes with french fried onions and it was delicious! Try this recipe!
