About this Cook
Single mid-20s gal recently allergie driven vegan.
My favorite things to cook
Past - chicken enchiladas, bbq pulled pork, and shepherds' pie. With the new vegan twist...we'll see.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Winter = slow cooker and yummy apartment slow cooker smells!
My cooking triumphs
I'll let you know...
My cooking tragedies
I once made a cherry pie for a friend's birthday. I wanted it to be special, so I wanted to make it from scratch and not use the caned stuff. I used FROZEN cherries - yeah... it was a soupy soupy mess!

Sunshine Hummus Melts
Surprised. I was looking for new ways to uses the hummus I had. I put on wheat bread and topped with vegan cheddar cheese (non-dairy soy…not quite the same ?)…but was happily surprised by both the texture and good mix of flavors – not to out of the ordinary.

Love Soup Mix in a Jar
While I have yet to taste this soup, it turned out really well in the jar. It's going to make a great gift. It was fun to make, easy to follow the directions, and LOOKS AWSOME!

Cookie Mix in a Jar I
I made these cookies for christmas gifts and they came out looking really bland. Thier were just 4 layers, and most of the flower flowed into the chocolate chips.
