This was on the kid-friendly top twenty! WOOT?! My son is on medication and I would never serve him alcohol!!!!! P.S. Other wise a great recipe, I did try it but not for the wee one!

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
We have two lemon trees in our back yard and this was perfect for a summer drink. Its so versatile too - I followed the exact recipe and was very pleased with the outcome. You could easily add more lemon juice and water if you wished to water it down or create a more tart version - but I enjoyed both the sweet and then tart taste that this produced!

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Good taste, followed the recipe directly but ended up with coconut pancakes. Will try again but readers BE SURE to chill first, perhaps I beat it too long? Was it too moist in the house? Who knows but I will certainly try chilling for longer and will review again - shame because they taste GOOD!

Very Nice Muffin Recipe, perfect for breakfast! NOT a dessert and it depends on how ripe your bananas are as to how sweet it will be. Mine were perfect and we all enjoyed the crumble on the top! Thanks!

Fun Cookie Suckers

Very bland. Wonder if I could use my favorite sugar cookie recipe because the idea is great but my kids only ate a little even though they LOVED making them and LOVED the idea. Sorry but this is tasteless.

This was pretty good. I added too many peppers though! I will make again coz my hubby is doing weight watchers and it was good for points! A nice 'just for us' meal.

This was a great idea, my son scoffed them down. Both my husband and I found them to be lacking in flavor so may simnply season the eggplant next time. Thanks for a great starting idea!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

This was a very filling stick-to-your-ribs kinda soup! Actually it was low in weight watchers points so I mde it for mu hubby :) I think the only thing I will change is to add a different chicken stock cube than teh one I had on hand. A decent lunch or dinner recipe just for the family.

St. Louis Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
Five stars for simplicity! We really enjoyed the different taste and served these up as appetizers, which were quickly snapped up. I double breaded half the raviolis and both single and double breaded were a hit. I used my favourite marinara sauce for dipping. I did add a little personal seasoning to the breading mixture beacuse thats just how we like it. Next time I would like to try the spinach and cheese raviolis - my one and five year old gobbled these up too so I cold sneak in some spinach that way! Thanks for sharing.

Pretty Good. Something missing here and warm ranch was nice for a creamy effect but not a big fan, maybe with a tweak it would be just right. Thanks.

A little disappointing. I eat many curries and found this a little bland, also I enjoy the coconut milk and cream version better.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
I made these with large flour tortillas because that was all I had, I also basted them with oil and baked in the oven which made them taosty and crispy. The jalapeno's I bought were just right - I often feel it is hit or miss how hot they may be. I do still feel there was one missing ingredient but I will continue to make these and try a few new items inside! Great idea, will make again.

I made mini and regular sized puffs. While something a little different for breakfast they weren't espeially 'amazing' as I expected from the reviews and I would only make it for my family. Thanks but I'll have to search for the 'keepers' to serve to guests.

Scottish Shortbread II

If you WEIGH 2oz sugar, 4oz butter and 6oz flour for a round pan this is PERFECT. Simple and AUTHENTIC recipe - trust me the generations of home shortbread makers in Scotland will tell you the same thing! Thank you for this great recipe. (Use your hands and mix then plop into pan and press in, prick with fork, cook on 300 degrees for thirty minutes and when it starts to BROWN slightl it will be ready. Cut when still cooling and sprinkle sugar on top). PERFECT.

Kay's Shortbread

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
I have tried many shortbread recipe's and having grown up with my Mum's recipe many pale in comparison and I have been making her recipe for many years to great acclaim! (We are from Scotland). This was quite tasty, a little too floury and if you never had it before it would do nicely. Thanks for the recipe Kay, but I guess when you have a good one you should just stick to it!

Mark's English Sausage Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
I LOVE these, I cut them into mini sausage rolls and serve as an appetizer or make large ones and feed them for lunch! I have tried plain sausage meat and added my own garlic powder and adobo but prefer the sausage meat preseasoned. I NEVER have any leftovers and have served these MANY times, always something a little different and this is surely the EASY version as home-made pastry and I don't get along too well! P.S> I am Scottish! I know my sausage rolls!!!!

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
Love twice baked. Tried the recipe exactly and other than teh stronger taste of eth green opnion they were a tad bit bland...perhaps as another suggested I could add garlic next time or another predominant spice? They were all gobbled up at my barbeque anyway and I will make them again with a little modification.

Irish Egg Rolls

This was pretty good the first time we made it and followed the recipe correctly it was a tiny bit bland yet quite unique! However, we only gave it four stars because when we made it with our own leftovers it was much better and was a sure hit.
