I'm a wife, mother & grandmother. I enjoy cooking and I'm always looking for a new and inventive way to prepare a dish. I love to experiment with dishes to make them totally mine. I also collect recipes as a hobby. I don't think I have one favorite thing to cook. I enjoy the diversity in cooking as a whole, everything from meal planning to baking. I get total enjoyment from seeing a dish come together that others appreciate and love to eat. Every year at Thanksgiving my son since he was a kid has always asked for my Sweet Potato Pie. He is grown and lives in another state but I still make my Sweet Potato Pie and I always think of him (my little boy) who loves his mama's Sweet Potato Pie! I would have to say that once I decided I wanted to cook Mexican food at home and started a real attempt at it....I found it wasn't as hard as I had thought and now we enjoy the taste of Mexico at least once a week at home. Cakes!!! I am a definite PIE BAKER but cakes seem to elude me. I never seem to get it quite right. Either I undercook or overcook them everytime. Once in a "blue moon" I get it right and then there's dancing in the street!!
