Ham Glaze with Mustard and Pineapple

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
This was excellent! The only thing I added was a half cup of pineapple tidbits to give it some texture.

Peanut Butter Balls V

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
I made these today and I have to admit I was skeptical of putting graham crackers into the mix. I had never heard of it before! BUT, I didn't have any so I used vanilla wafers. I made as directed and once it was time for the cracker crumbs I only added in about 1/2 to 3/4 a cup. The mixture "looks" very dry, but tastes delicious! I read a reviewer who that said it was easier to melt the chocolate in the microwave instead, BIG MISTAKE! I had to keep reheating it to keep the chocolate smooth enough. Overall this is a great recipe, I omitted the nuts, cut the confectioner's sugar to 1 3/4 cups, and only used about 1/2 cup vanilla wafer crumbs. This is an easy recipe and pretty much foolproof!

Slow Cooker BBQ Meatballs and Polish Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2013
Not good. Instead of using the jar of salsa, substitute it for bottle of Hunt's chili sauce, and mix with the grape jelly (don't use jam!). I make my meatballs differently, breadcrumbs, parmesan, parsley, and a splash of Worcestershire sauce and milk.

Jill's Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
Excellent recipe! I've added some things to it over time to switch things up. I always use cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom. I left out the onions and use 1/2 tsp of onion powder (for picky non onion eaters) I also added 1/2 cup of fully cooked diced bacon. It REALLY adds to the flavor and can be used as breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Basic Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
I have made these several times, there is too much of a salty, dry, flour taste and not much flavor at all. On the plus side, mine looked beautiful, they did rise some, and were very flaky and soft . I'm planning on trying the same recipe with buttermilk and/or using butter instead of shortening. I'm not giving up yet!

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
This is almost the same recipe that my mother made me as a child. (she omitted the butter and it turned out fine) I have fine tuned this recipe and have made some improvements. If you don't like the cereal on top you can use cornbread stuffing instead. It adds a LOT of flavor! Plus you can also make this in a crock pot!
