Best Spanish Rice

I liked this recipe but found it needed some tweaking. I had to use 2-14.5 oz. cans of broth as the rice was still under cooked using only 2 cups. Also, I did not find the dish had enough spice. I used medium salsa this time but I am thinking to use hot for next time. However I will only be using more like 1/2 cup, as I think too much salsa took away from the overall sticky consistency I was looking for with this dish. Also, I added a few dashes of chili powder because again, I wanted more of a kick.
