This is similar to a recipe I have, but with cream cheese, so I tried it: This recipe produced a drier, less dense version, and I couldn't taste the cream cheese at all. Anyone making this cake might try adding a small can of evaporated milk, cutting back to 5 eggs, , and substituting 1 stick (or 1/2 cup) butter flavored Crisco for one of the sticks (or 1/2 cup) butter. That's how this recipe deviated from the recipe I have (and, of course, the recipe I have doesn't have cream cheese). I won't make this one again.
