These are hands down AWESOME!!! I added peppermint extract & chocolate chips to half and the other half with cherry extract and shaved bittersweet chocolate on top and they were both gone!!!!! Def. a keeper in this house!! Next time i'm going to try Splenda in place of the sugar.

Five Ingredient Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
AWESOME!! AWESOME!! My 5yr old has asked for this eversince I made it the first time. I crushed up mini oreos and added it to the cream mixture and we ate the cream mixture before it was frozen and then when it froze up, ate it right out of the bowl!! I'm going to have so much fun finding different flavors!!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
This was a HIT!! my house! Had a family gathering with chilli and salad and everyone raved about this bread. They all loved the cakey texture and the fact that it had just the right "sweetness" to it. I baked it in cast iron skillets (doubled the recipe)and I had to adjust for cooking time a little bit, but it came out GREAT!! This is a keeper for sure!!

Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
OMGosh!!! This was awesome!!!! I made it on a splurg and I needed something to do with this this cheap kernel corn i bought and this was it!! I made 2 batches in one night!! I cut back on the sugar and let it melt in the (popcorn)oil before adding the kernels and only added 3 to see when they would pop then added the rest, and I took anothers advice and kept the corn moving, either stirring or shaking and when I added it to the bowl, I layerd the salt on so that I got salty/sweet throughout. No more regualar popcorn in my house!! Thank you sue!!

Mom's Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2005
LOVED THIS RECIPE!! It really needs more stars! It was simple!! My family literally "ate" this one up! I cooked frozen noodles in the chicken broth and homemade mashed potatos, it was awesome! Even my very picky 15 mos. old "snarffed" it up!! It's a keeper in this family. Next time I will try "playing" with different ingredents.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
Pretty awesome!! My family loved these cookies, and this is the first time I made anything like this, they did say that it was a bit too "spicy" so I may cut back on the cloves next time, and drizzle them with a thin glaze, I did put large sugar crystals on them, but I didn't care for the crunch too much and I will back them longer than the 10 min. This is a great fall cookie, it's a keeper in my book!

Whole Wheat Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2005
awesome! awesome! awesome! I can't say enough!! I was a little skeptical about the whole wheat flour, but it turned out awesome! I was looking for a healthy cookie and I found a healthy and EASY cookie! I accidently added the c&s in the batter, but I think it enhanced it, I also added it on top before cooking. I will def. make more of this! Smells awesome and tastes great!!

Meatball Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
These were pretty good!! I added 1c. splenda and 1/2 c. sugar. I had to add milk to the mix while adding the flour, the dough was too dry, but it all turned out great! I used a small melon baller dipped in flour to make the "balls" and for the frosting I used approx. 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 large tbsp. cocoa powder and 1 tsp. chocolate syrup and 1 large tbsp. strawberries and cream frosting, and enough milk to make it runny. I put it in a ziploc bag, snipped off the corner and drizzled the "balls" with the frosting. They tasted like chocolate covered stawberries!! Yummy!!!

Donna's Famous Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2005
I would of given it a 5, but I never made a homeade cheesecake before, and I still have SO MUCH to learn. It tasted "heavy" and like there was too much cream cheese. I even added some lemon juice to it. Not bad for a first-timer, def. will try again!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
This was easy-I made them into cinnamon rolls, but next time I think I will half the dough before rolling it out. But the end result was wonderful! I used syrup, heated in the microwave, added some vanilla, brown sugar & southern comfort and put that in the bottom of a glass baking dish & set aside. As for filling, I used brown & white sugar, nutmeg, grd cloves and melted butter. I had to let it rise for about 40min. and baked it at 350 for about 1hr. (it stayed raw in the middle-due to the excessive dough in an inadiquite dish) then i turned it out on a foil lined cookie sheet and spooned the "goo" on the upside. It reheated very well the next morn!!! next time when i make this, I am going to make two seperate dished for the rolls. Love it,Love it!!

Overnight Bubble Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2005
My niece and nephews loved this!! I tweeked this (per ingredients that i had) I used vanilla pudding instead, and used cinnamon and sugar as well as brown sugar, melted butter and the pudding. Only I had to cook it alot longer that 25min. I think next time i make this I will use a dish with shallow sides and single layer the frozen bread rolls instead of layering them. I didn't use "exact" measurements when I put this togeather, I just eyeballed it, but basically stuck to the measuments called for. This one is a keeper. I love "simple" I am soooo all about "simple"!

Cream Cheese Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
I followed some of the others reviews and added some lemon juice for more of a "cheesecake" flavor. I baked them on my stone, instead of a cookie sheet. They turned out "ok", kinda buttery instead of a cheesecake flavor. I liked the dough better before baking though!! I will make these again, and use a cookie press next time! This is def a keeper!!

Bread Machine Challah I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
This was pretty simiple to make and that is a keeper in my book, my husband liked the taste of it, he used it on his daily lunch sandwich, but it's better for soups or stews, to soak up the gravy!!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
Pretty darn good!! This is our new family recipe, and it's soooo easy!! My hunny snarfed 2/3 of the pan up in one night!! And I made a double batch!! I accidently added the sugar to the melted butter over the stove, but it still worked out great!! Before putting in the oven, i sprinkled chopped pecans over the top..wonderful!

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
I made these into muffins for convience and they came out good, i should've sprayed the papers so they would come out easier, but all in all it was a good idea. My picky 5 yr. old snarffed it up and my hunny ate 3 before they were cool, guess I need to make more!! This is a good "on the go" breakfast, not too crumbly.

Biscotti

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
These were pretty simple, but mine turned out really crumbly so I had to add some milk to form the "dough" ball. I then just rolled them out into "finger" like forms and baked them for 25 min. They turned out more like Peppernuts, or "dog bones" as I nicknamed them. They taste awesome regardless, little on the crunchy side, but hey for the first time, I think I did pretty well. Gonna try again, way too good to give up on.

Spaghetti Pizza Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2004
This dish was ok, when my husband saw it, the first thing he said was, "looks like your goulash dishes"--enough said! It was hearty and filling, but nothing spectacular. If I make this again, I will def. make some additions, like more meat, like italian sausage, genoa or hard salami w/the pepp., more cheese, less noodles. More spagetti sauce and more garlic. It was mentioned that I should layer it so that it all get a little bit of very thing. The idea of milk and beaten eggs was new to me, but I liked the end results. When I make this again, I will let you all know how the changes turned out.
