It was pretty good. My kids loved it (7 & 11), but I thought it was just a bit better than OK. I added some extra seasoning because we like a lot of spice. I may have overcooked it a little (I cut the chicken into strips, so I didn't know how long to cook it.)
One hint for cutting down on the messy fingers is to use one hand to pick up the soup-coated pieces and place them on a paper plate filled with the dry mixture, then use the other hand to roll the chicken and put it on the next plate. Both hands get messy, but at least they're not GOBBED with batter.
